Bugs are a pain. Had a compressor tripping external overload. Took it apart and found the remains of a cockroach in it. Removed said bug and put everything back together and she worked just fine. Good Job Jason!

Those plugs are a pain... If i find corrosion in one, i like to check all the plugs in the series before it. Often the same pin(s) is corroded in multiple plugs upstream.

You are 100% correct....thanks for the comment

Ive considered using some kind of grease on those connections to help seal and keep corrosion down, what do you think 🤔
@josephp1592 Жыл бұрын
I put dielectric grease on em, same thing as plumbers grease. Its just a silicon grease

I have the refrigeration Technologies silicone grease...its die electric and is awesome.

6 service calls in 1 afternoon? How are you supposed to do a thorough job with all that ? It must be just putting out fires at this point innit ?

how do you feel about repiping a copeland compressor to fit instead of going back with the oem trane compressor
@jasonjohnsonHVAC Жыл бұрын
If it would work...why not. I haven't done that before...always OEM....but why not....only problem possibly could be the oil equalizer....3D's are finicky

What are you using to get temps on the larger pipes with the testo set?
@jasonjohnsonHVAC4 ай бұрын
The thermistor sits in a groove and is removable. So i pull the thermistor out and tape it to the pipe and support the rest so its not dangling by the thermistor. Works really well. Thanks for the question

I checked with the building engineer today....he said it was still chugging along. It ain't running as well as it could.....but at least it's running.

Just replace all the sensors. Sad in 2023 with all the technology we got, FN trane can't make a sensor that lasts.
@josephp1592 Жыл бұрын
Who does? I replace york, daikin, carrier and advantage sensors just as much Water messes with sensors, sensors on cold lines get wet
@EverythingHVACR Жыл бұрын
@josephp1592 I can't argue with that, lol. Some are better than others. I've got these sensors on a CGAM. I replaced sensors about a year and a half ago, and they are already beginning to drift.
@jasonjohnsonHVAC Жыл бұрын
@@EverythingHVACR....yup...CGAM's especially eat sensors up...
