That brings back memories . I only lived in Bromley until I was 8 years old ( when my family moved to Cornwall ) but I have fond memories of going here to Saturday morning pictures , watching Disney movies and some of the Shaun Connery Bond films . I think I might have seen some pantomime's here too .

I'm gutted. All we have left is the shitty Vue and its equally shitty clientele.

Pay your staff a living wage.

Your absolutely right I worked for an independent cinema, They payed £8.50ph Just 29p per hour above the national minimum wage, Apparently that 29p was the 10% service charge that was taken from every bill. I love independent cinemas But the way that staff are paid and treated in these large corporations of hospitality is usually pretty vile.

SonOfMonsterMagnet Is it different to the National minimum? Because I heard that’s 8.21 from April 2019 The living wage must be slightly higher Still utter crap, you can’t live on that money, especially in London You have to work 45 to 50 hours a week, it no life. 🤞🏻things change

@@starcatchfilms4367 Hello yes the minimum is now £8.21, PH staff presently get paid £8.40 something (outside of London), so it's essentially a minimum wage job. I used to work for them but jumped ship to a Curzon (not great tbh) who do at least pay the NLW. The government recently changed the title from minimum wage to the living wage which confused everyone. The NLW is £9.00 per hour but local councils often recommend higher.

SonOfMonsterMagnet Thanks for the info Yeh it’s all pretty disgusting really Ironic how it’s called the Living wage When it’s really the surviving wage, Once you’ve paid your - rent, food, travel, phone bill and gym membership if you have one then you’re not left with much to save or live off of, most rooms cost between 600- 900 pcm in London And most hospitality staff get about £1500, that’s at full time It’s gruleing on your feet to. glad Curzon Is slightly better tho 👍
