I can't tell u how many times a hit a bad bump and the fuses busted or the box itself was damaged....lol

@@youngmarq2632 yes..when u hit a ditch or speed bumps...those boxes are screwed down and are covered 4 water protection....the fuses come loose and when they get loose contacts they spark and blow out. Most boxes have a slot 4 extra fuses but I carry some in my glove box

I remembered taking out both headlights out from my 1st car to changed the light bulbs in them a couple times. I did it all by myself. My father wanted to helped me but, he didn’t. I only did twice on it. That car was a 1998 Ford Contour SE. I used a Phillips head screw driver on the headlights to removed. It was hard to get the light out that took me 20 minutes to fixed and the other one 10 minutes. The 2nd time it took 10 minutes on each as I remembered. I got that car in mid October 1999 to late May 2005. My last vehicle was a 2015 Ford Escape SE and I did change the bulbs to the headlights twice w/o taking it out. Now my newer vehicle is a 2020 Fire Escape SE in black. I could change the light bulbs on it,too. I know how to easy stuff towards my car.

that scanner and tuning have no relevance to eachother. if you're tuning a car, you won't need a scanner.

Hazards, ABS and tail lights share circuits and can cause havoc with eachother if a light bulb burns out/fuses blow(thru the ECM, BCM and ABS computer). Had a sequoia do the same thing and it was a combination of the fuse, burnt out brake bulb and low brake fluid. Turned the ABS and VSC off, even had to recalibrate the YAW sensor, anyhow I knew about the over ride though so I walked away with the keys in hand and battery still connected. Kudos for persisting and chasing all the gremlins.

Check if your car has a fusible link , it basically powers all the accessories. Lights , turn signals , headlights dash , all that stuff.

Stock BRZ is one of the most reliable vehicles and everybody who owns 1 finds a way to make it completely unreliable. Drop Springs exhaust systems Everything you can think of to make a slow car fast and the car is still slow. Body kits don't make your car faster they just make your car fall apart.

1- Cut your "claws" on these fingers, and things might became easier to work with. 2- Using a long bracelet or equivalent like that over a battery, can cause a short circuit if you catch the car body panels. You will become the spark. And it hurts, a lot. Remove any Jewelry like that prior to working on your cars. 3- A proper wash on that engine bay can work miracles, and even avoid problems like electrical ones that you had. Thumbs up: Nice to see ladies working out and figuring out how to repair your own car. There's always something to learn, given you have the interested to absorb it all. Cheers.

If you spill stuff down in the console the little solenoid sticks in the shifter wont let it go all the way in the park won't let the key come out got to turn the key back on put you put on the brake the shifter forward into Park then try to get the key out again sometimes you have to spray lube down in that shifter assembly

That's some crazy shit, the hazard fuse wouldn't let you put car in park and take key out...lol. Also if you took light out and tried it on the other side and it still didn't work. That is a very obvious conclusion that the light was bad. I wouldn't have checked power with a meter after you did the swap thing.

Hi babe, did check the brake light switch. Sound like the brake light switch is going out. If you scan for trouble codes in your abs, trac system. There maybe a code for your brake light switch shorting out intermittently. We have that at Lexus especially on the RX330’s and RX350’s. I have seen lots of those brake light switch go out here at Lexus. I have been a Lexus tech for a long time and seen that. It may be the same for you FRS or 86.

I had the same issue with my VLAND headlights. i replaced the fuse for the DRL inside the driver's footwell and everything was fixed.

Lots of things share a fuse in a car . Like my Honda Accord the dash lights and heater /air are the same fuse . It’s this way to there won’t be like 50 fuses in the car .

It’s an electrical issue if a fuse was blown. Check what is connected to the hazard fuse and begin with your upgrades connected to it.

It’s an automatic transmission thing. The same thing happened to my cousins accord. Blew 2 fuses and the car wouldn’t shift out of park and the dash cluster wouldn’t work.

The car runs on Canbus system, which takes one electrical thing to go bad and everything else goes bad. Most likely is you're having a short or heatsoak and will eventually blow fuses until you fix the root cause.

I just have to give you some advice as a body shop, owner, and a car enthusiast. All the aftermarket stuff you’re putting on your car is ruining it. There are so many reasons why your car probably will not come out of drive and won’t let go of the key, mostly because of that garbage aftermarket steering wheel that you thought might look good. All aftermarket stuff is garbage. Now I know I’m gonna get a lot of heat for that. But if you want your car to look good, you have to go top shelf aftermarket. And there is no top shelf aftermarket on this car. You live and you learn. I hope you learn on this car that when you get a better car, you don’t do this to it. This is an example of what not to do to your car is all of this RS Strauss aftermarket stuff for the engine bay is filthy. I’m surprised that the batteries not corroded to death I give you credit for that. But you really have to up your game or respect or respect to do no disrespect meant. I want to keep hitting you in the pocket, you’ll learn just like we all did you should’ve seen my first car lol it was fast as hell but it would go on fire all the time because of all the crap I had done to it and the backyard Bondo repairs

A lot of it has to do with mods that do nothing for driving really. Like people will slam out their cars and stance them to hell and then wonder why their car is unreliable and constantly going through tires. Or people who have those poptunes not knowing that it's bad for your engine and makes your car slower. I know there's a KZbinr who I watch that constantly beats on his cars even when they need some serious work done. You can hear the transmission grinding away, or his turbo overheats because he refused to get an intercooler and it's like dude, get your cars in healthy working order before driving them that hard. Alex's FRS does look really nice though. But most of the problems she's having are due to her mods and not the platform itself.

The hazard switch or relay would not cause this kind of catastrophe on it's own. You had other fuzes blown, an LED burned out, your Neutral Safety switch was tripped... You had a surge. I highly recommend you get your alternator tested because if the voltage regulator goes out you could be looking at causing thousands of dollars in damage to your electrical systems. I've had this happen before, never could get that car back up.

Even the bumper fitment. The front bumpers don’t fit on either one of those cars and I think that front bumper on the FRS is stuck if I’m not mistaken, but the video is still young… Jesus Christ what is the point of it if the cars don’t run, and even the faces are falling off. ? If the FRS is supposed to be your reliable car, then stop messing with it this way the warranty covers it and you can work like a normal person and make money with the car that works.
