In 1997 Company Flow, The Juggaknots and J-Treds joined forces to become The Indelibles. What we have here is footage from their Fat Beats NYC in-store for the release of "The Fire In Which You Burn" (Official/Rawkus). Watch Breeze Brewin', J-Treds, El-P and Bigg Jus rip the mic (one mic at that) as they perform "Fire" while Mr. Len aka Space Ghost spins the instrumentals. Then get ready for some bonus rounds with additional footage from some of the aforementioned along with Queen Herawin, Wordsworth and ILL BILL. Shout out to Pumpkinhead, A.L. Skills, Rok One and Max Glazer who also rocked earlier that day while we were all waiting for J-Treds' late ass to show up.

In the underground a lot of artist knew each other. Even without the internet (as it is), people made connections through being at certain spots, trhough even communicating with graffiti on walls. Its now about importance. Most people dont care about these people now (but for the whole run the jewels generic sect). Only a few. Like it always is and will be with certain sincere art. I lived all the way in Amsterdam and I knew how epic these cats were..so stop the generic cliché American drama comments please ;)

The amount of talent present here is fucking ridiculous. Everyone that spits, destroys and is the epitome of the "underground" scene at that time. For anyone that wants to know what that raw NY MC shit is, look no further. Why I love EL so much is because he still oozes that vibe to this day in everything he touches. Brewin man........LOVE me some Breezly Brewin........ his voice and flow are the illest.

@King Leopold It is relating the artist's ability and confidence on the microphone, the aura they bring with them, their 'presence' to the presence of the number of supposed people that would be existing in a classroom filled with Schizophrenics. Schizophrenics hear voices in their heads, so not only is there the actual people themselves in the room, there are all the voices every single one of them hears as well. So the artist is saying his presence on the microphone is more than that of all of the hundreds of voices of those people in the classroom. It is considered a great line because it combines all of that into a single sentence.

Pioneers at this Indy/Underground tip, no one at the time was really exposing the record labels and the shadiness of managers and executives and the whole Industry like these guys were along with Non Phixion, Immortal Technique, JMT, Aesop Rock, Brother Ali, !! That wave fused a lot of babies!!! Thank the Hip Hop GODS!!!

Where I'm from (down south) nobody has heard of any of these guys in the slightest. I went to a show the other night tho with a group out of texas, and the main MC kicked a verse with a dope rhyme schene that referenced celph titled, apathy, vinnie paz, army of the pharaohs

+Adonis Inman "on the wack I keep tabs like Timothy Leary and/or ASCAP" thats my fave line in his verse.. anyway I dig RTJ a lot.. HOWEVER El doesnt spit with the intensity that he used to.. I mean he does on a few songs like the first song on the first RTJ album and shit like that. I donno if its cause hes older or what.. I was thinking maybe he is purposely doing that because Killer Mikes flow is pretty intense so El's slower more calm rapping nowadays is a good contrast to Killer Mikes. OR MAYBE IM OVER THINKING THIS LOL But I wish he still had the style he had on Co Flow and Fantastic Damage. But I realize artists get older and change and evolve haha.
