i just tried the pattern one-game changer. but when i save the design, the pattern is off the words, how can i change that?

@heatherstudio Do you have a resource for learning about the "clipping"? Not sure I understand why you had to do it to add a grunge effect to the text.

Great question! I do not but clipping is what makes in so the clipped texture is only on your elements and not in the background - if that makes sense. If you do not clip, the grunge texture will show until the edges of the design.
