Just a quick note...There is a drive-in theatre in Mareeba (West of Cairns) which allows you to camp the night after you have watched the movies. Check out there web site for more info. We live not far from there and have been meaning to try it one night.

Next Episode: Jack has traded the troopy in for Nigel and a carriage with an Alucab roof conversion. His entire wardrobe consists of Many Akubras, denim everything, leather chaps and some RM Williams. What an absolute king! So which drive in was better? Charter's Towers or Mareeba? Im gonna guess Mareeba because you could camp there. Brilliant episode guys. Very chilled out

Ahhh. Drive-ins Brings back memories of my late teens/early 20s (ie. 15-20 yrs ago). I had a Pajero back then and we'd reverse the car (like you did) and we'd lay flat the 2nd & 3rd row seats and we'd have a self-inflating mattress on top with our blankets and pillows. In this setup, the colder the better.😁

Have you thought of using baby shampoo and conditioner in one combined and some are body wash too! We use it when travelling to save water, it’s so gentle and really good. Have a look in the chemist.

I took 2 pairs of summer shoes, 2 wide brimmed sun-hats, a swim suit, a cover up, 2 beach towels,a summer dress, denim skirt and 2 light cotton pants and multiple summer tops on a road trip from Bris to Perth AND it was so cold and windy they didnt see the light of day !🤣🤣 Glad you r enjoying your life in the troopy! ❣️👍

As you know I have loads of room and take half of what I have in my house. Complete waste of time. I wear the same couple of shorts over my breaks as I do T-shirts and Vest tops. Hey guys.. Great video... Was pleasantly surprised to see the old drive in theatre.... Didnt know they still existed in Australia... I think I was about 8 or so when I last went to one, well over 40 years ago... I remember the charm and excitement of them though... Nigel could have added to the "horsepower" of the troopy if you had taken him... lol... sorry couldn't resist that... It was interesting amount of clothing you guys had, as that would be something difficult for most of us, as to what to pack.... when you travel in a country with as diverse a weather as we have you need t o be prepared for all conditions or at least learn to make do with what you have. So well done as always guys and looking forward to your next video...

@@itsJackandMegan Lol funny you mention the one in Mareeba as that's where my (deceased) father family all lives... If the drive in is in the same place in Mareeba, one of the feet on the giant screen was actually in my uncles yard, so we used to go and watch movies for free.... Last movies I saw was xanadu and little miss marker... Xanadu had not long been released... lol shows my age... That was back in 1980... so it may have moved since then.
