My sister used to gait analysis at a running store when she lived down in Florida and she told me multiple times that Hokas were the best selling shoe! She got my mom hooked on them, because she's on her feet several hours of the day at her job, not a runner, and she swears by them!

Jessica, YOU WIN FOR THE BEST BROWS on KZbin! I have always found dilly-dally useful, but I’m 65 so… My 72 yr old dh is a forever runner, he’s hooked on Hoka shoes, he likes that they don’t wear down/out as quickly as all the rest. I love your family, your videos are wonderful! Our son and family moved and they talked of having a Meyers store (!) that is so unique :).

I can totally feel your pain Jessica. My husband and I actually have to take our down comforter to the dry cleaners because it's too big for a washer and dryer at home. We had just gotten home with it got the bed all made but didn't bother to put the duvet cover back on because it's a pain in the butt and I wasn't in the mood. Needless to say the down comforter underneath is white and our puppy whose name is cuteness got a hold of a soy sauce packet from our Chinese delivery that night so we came into a enormous wet brown spot on the comforter. I'm sure you can imagine all of the things that I tried to guess that it was before we found the packet and realized what it was. Puppies are worth it but man can they push your buttons I should have named him Roger.

I teach hot vinyasa and hatha, I definitely recommend drinking something like coconut water and working to slow the breath during those classes. For me, the hatha is harder bc that’s where I incorporate the long holds, but it’s different for everyone :) it’s a great addition to an active lifestyle, we get a lot of runners or people who lift, since it’s a great mix of strength, cardio, and mobility

Jessica! So glad you tried yoga again! I just got into it this year and I love it! I’m a teacher and my school district paid for a 3-year membership for their employees as part of our health and wellness program. I’m forever grateful to them because it helped make my pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum so much easier! P.S. “Lolly-gagging” is my choice of word for procrastinating. Not sure how it came to be coming from an Asian household, but I guess being from Texas drew it out of me. 😅 BUT thank you, because now I have another word to switch it up with once I get bored. 😂

Hatha yoga is gentler & typically "easier". It's where I recommend people start. It's really great for learning breath work (breathing with body movement & poses). Best class I've ever taken was at a gym, but it really all depends on the instructor. I can't do hot yoga, heat literally makes me pass out lol (not exaggerating). Yep my family (from MN) says dilly dallying, lolly gagging, etc. and I love your channel, vlogs, sit down, love it all!! You & your sweet family are such a breath of fresh air. You bring so much joy to my life.💖

Dilly dally is normal to say!! It’s even in iPhone’s dictionary. Thanks for sharing Zoka. My daughter runs 10 miles every morning, does marathons every couple months, did a Spartan race Sunday, has a marathon in three more weeks, and she’s doing the Honolulu marathon in December. I was actually surprised if their cost. I don’t think you’ve purchased running shoes for awhile. Their about average and she goes through a pair about every three months or 3,000 miles. Excited to see what she thinks!!

I used to do hot yoga and really loved it. I would encourage you to stick with it a few more times! I didn't focus so much on the calories, but more about how the heat made it feel more meditative because you literally cannot focus on anything other than your body and how you're moving. I am not a spiritual person per se, but yoga (at least how it is taught in the UK) focuses a lot on your mind and spirit as well as body and I found the heat so helpful for tapping into those aspects. Would love to hear how you get on 😊
