Hey I wanted to tell you that #JenPhelps just talked about a kind of lotion type bronzer for your skin that really dried down asks doesn't get on anything. Im going to have to find out where i saw that on her videos is one of the last 4 in sure and is really pretty. Dont feel weird i wint answer it either bcuz im if the mindset tgat anyone who stops by. BUT BE CAREFUL bcuz 1 time it happened a truck backed into the driveway, 3 young guys come 2 the door knock i didnt move the curtains but i moved closer 2 the window to look and i think thats when they saw me and also my dog going crazy her hair was standing on end. So 2 days later all 3 guys got arrested for hime invasion charges and agg assault with deadly weapons. So sometimes i will make it known im at home but wint say anything so i will just stare at them making them feel weird so thry leave lol anyways jess we love u guys so much. The doorbell thing is so funny. I do the same. Everyone who knows me knows to call first because I won't answer the door if I'm not expecting anyone. It's not for fear though, it's because when I'm home, I'm in my sanctuary, in my comfys, hair a mess, no makeup and I am a strong believer that just because someone wants to see you doesn't mean they get to. lol I decide that, always. Hell, I don't even answer my phone if I don't feel like chatting with anyone. My home time is MY time. lol

I am the same way!! I had to teach my mom that just because her doorbell rings does not mean she actually has to answer it!! I remember her jaw dropping when I told her she can just ignore it, like the thought had never even crossed her mind or seemed possible before. Different generations I guess? I used to hide with the uninvited doorbell ringing, but now I just keep doing whatever I was already doing. They'll figure it out. I've never had anyone stay around longer than my big beautiful guard dog was barking 😆 I fully believe that anyone who has any reason to come by my home should be able to call me first. If not, they can leave a note on the door. Once I get around to installing the doorbell camera (my kid is currently sick which of course takes up all of my time, when she's not asleep), they can leave a "message" on there! It's freeing!! 🖤

Gigi's advice to you SO reminded me of when my son was around that age. I'd been teaching him mindfulness -- basically we'd sit and breathe together in silence for like 30 seconds or whatever he could manage. And he said it made him feel calm. Anyway, one day after work I was totally stressed out and being mad in the kitchen. (being loud and probably muttering under my breath). He walked in and said "mama, I think you need to meditate." LMAO. The kid was 100% correct!

One of the many things I love about you and always appreciate are the little things you say that show your compassion for people. For example, when you say “for those of you who choose not to OR CAN’T breastfeed.” It’s a small thing, but man it means so much. Most people just flippantly say “if you choose not to breastfeed” and for some of us, we desperately wanted to, didn’t produce any breast milk, tried everything possible, and felt like a total failure when it didn’t happen….. THERABREAT IS LIIIIIFE! I had started an antidepressant that was making me so thirsty and dehydrated (I switched to a different one for that reason) and as a result my mouth was so dry and my breath was so bad I couldn’t stand it. I recently paid a professional organizer to help me because all closets were full, drawers full and nothing had a home there were multiple things in many places. a tip that goes along the lines of putting instructions in jars...I have a few go-to recipes that we make so often that I almost have memorized but just in case, I have them taped to the inside of a cabinet so if I forget a measurement, I can glance there really quick. I have found it to be helpful on more than one occasion and then I don't have to dig out the recipe!

i got a set of battery operated puck lights for under the bathroom sink & in the bottom kitchen cabinets, LIFE CHANGING. so i can actually see whats under there and its just awesome, i got them plus the batteries on amazon!! i put the puck light on the inside wall towards the top if that makes sense so i can still reach the light if im sitting or standing by the cabinet.

Love watching the declutter and organization! Something I use under my bathroom sink that works well is a lazy Susan. Love it for cleaning products, hair products, body care, etc. it definitely works mainly for tall items, but I love it! Also LOVE hearing about the “sangria”! I’m pregnant and looking for fun drinks. I enjoy fake mimosas with orange juice and sparkling water. I think it’s delicious!

Wisconsin has had the pickle pizza at our State Fair the last couple of year. It's excellent!! Even tried to recreate it at home! Illinois State Fair is the same, different foods. One thing I remember when I was a teen is the French fries. Everyone was sprinkling them with apple cider vinegar. I'm telling you, they were GOOD! 2 resources for cleaning etc that helped me: Clutterbug KZbin channel- learning what organization style i am and working with that. Functional is good! Baskets help me (mostly dollar tree... Do It On A Dime KZbin channel great recommendations) The organized mom method by gemma bray- seriously helped so much. As a teacher, this way of cleaning keeps our house clean during the school year 😂 That steamer seems great! We usually throw clothes back in dryer 😂 so maybe time for upgrade to steamer

Our state fairs don't have strange foods. I never ever open the door to someone I don’t know. Just because someone knocks does not mean I am obligated to give them access to my home and family. HOWEVER, I learned from a police officer to NOT act like you’re not home because sometimes if they think no one is home they will attempt to break in. He told me to speak up though the closed door. Say something like “Who is it?” And then no matter what they say you can reply through the door “sorry! I can’t help you!” That way they know you’re there and aware of them.

Fav fair food is chocolate covered bacon. Now, I tend to keep sweet separate but I like both things and was told I HAD to try it. Got so addicted I started making it at home. lol The stuff is so freaking good!

That just sounds wrong lol. Like u would have to be instantly addicted. Bacon and chocolate? I'm willing to try it but I don't wanna risk an addiction where I'm driving the width of America looking for state fairs all the time.

@@sherryelle2242 lol, thankfully it's easy to make. Make the bacon, let it cool. Melt the chocolate over hot water (double boiler type thing) and dip in the bacon. Let cool on rack. Then put on wax paper and refrigerate for 15 mins. or so or freeze. Easy. The addiction isn't TOO severe. lol I just really look forward to it every year then gotta make it a couple times after the fair. lol I would have NEVER thought it would be good, but it's fabulous.

If you have a local buy nothing group then that is a great place to give lightly used, open, or unopened products! Less wasteful and people are so chill

St Julian’s sparkling juices were my favorite non alcoholic drinks to drink while I was pregnant! I can always find them in Meijers here in Ohio even though they are based out of Michigan. I highly recommend!!!
