In New Zealand it’s free to go to hospital and our doctors are subsidised a little bit. We pay taxes to cover the costs of our health system. And if working we pay a small portion of our wages to accident insurance so if you have an accident then you get even better benefits. It’s not a perfect system though and there’s never quite enough money for everything we need...but it’s better than having to pay or miss out on healthcare altogether!

The maturity level is not high enough to really understand the whole situation. Even in the area I live now, kids are getting married at the age of 17 and 18, and even having babies at that time! I think for me personally I got married at 21 but wished until I was 30 and I had my child at 35 which was good. Congratulations on becoming a Christian that is wonderful for you. Love your pink outfit by the way! Do not stress on what age you are when you have your first relationship, it will come. You are a beautiful lady.

Don't be a clown. Sex and marriage aren't rocket science. You don't need a degree in order to decide if you want to do either of them. Sure teens make mistakes, but so do 30 year olds in the club getting drunk spreading disease with complete strangers. Whatever people like you claim teens are susceptible to because of their lack of maturity in your mind, adults do those exact things but it's usually more extreme. Age ≠ maturity. Teens aren't the ones posting themselves and their loved ones in orgies all over the internet, *adults* are. Let teens marry and be happy. Give them good outlets for their desires instead of pretending they're still 5 years old. Biology doesn't care about your silly 20th century Western customs.

@@Halo3ninja28 I think what u failed to think is that this underage peps having sex like bunnies, majority don't have jobs yet to raise babies. Adult people of 30 plus are financially stable already and can be responsible enough to whatever stupidity they do.
@emilyvalentine45655 жыл бұрын
Nica Abian we know what condoms and birth control are, we know what morning after pills are, we know how to use pregnancy tests, etcetera. What are you on about mate? Only the tiniest fraction of us (often those who lack mentioned resources/knowledge) have an issue with teen pregnancy, and even then there are relatively to completely safe ways of terminating a pregnancy if they can’t support a child.
@Halo3ninja285 жыл бұрын
@@nicapika7970 Ha! First of all, a lot of adult people who have children just *barely* make ends meet, and have even less support than teenagers who have parents and grandparents who are willing to support their teen because of their age and lack of a job. On what planet are people "financially stable" just because they're 30+? I see old people working minimum wage all of the time. This is not a workers economy. This is an economy that serves corporations and rich folk. The working class no longer lives the American dream. Most people are one hospital visit away from bankruptcy. Second of all, there are plenty grown men who do not raise their children or who don't financially support the mother at all, and there are women who decide to abort or give the baby up for adoption. Adults make the same mistakes as teenagers do, but worse. Your premise needs work. If a teenager isn't working because of school, then he/she is being supported by someone who can also support the baby (assuming condoms and birth control do not work, which it will just as much as it does for adults), and if for some reason the teen has no one supporting them and they're not going to school, they actually can work and support the child. They *are* able bodied individuals, that's why they're having sex in the first place. It's not the end of the world if a teen doesn't finish high school. I have my bachelor's now, did I need the stuff I learned in High school? Of course not, at least not for working, you only need it to take more theoretical based tests in more schools. 95% of high school learning either just theoretical stuff that only matters for professions in those certain subjects, language rules that people immediately forget, or history that people also immediately forget. If teens are having sex like bunnies, what does that make adults? Savages? The debauchery that adults do on a daily basis is leagues above what amateur teens get into. There is a reason human trafficking exists. It isn't because of teens. Lastly, you've fallen into the same error as the original poster. Teens *are* and *will* have sex. When you pretend they're not and don't acknowledge their relationships, it gives license to boys to ghost the baby mother's who will become pregnant, and it encourages abortion because it brings shame and discomfort to everyone involved. It could even lead to suicide. Let teens marry, and let them work when needed. Period. It's not rocket science. All of human history has differed with our modern unscientific approach to this subject. Our entire schooling system needs to be restructured too. We hear people calling teens ( true young independent adults prior to the 20th century) "immature" but never stop to fix the issue. There is no "biological" period for immaturity. Someone can be immature at 70 just like Trump. It's not about age. If schools are supposed to *teach* them nonstop for 12 years, how is it that they're so immature and treated on a level with 5 year olds even when they're 70-90% of the way finished and their bodies have already declared that they're ready to go be adults? Most "adults* nowadays couldn't even handle slaughtering and butchering an animal for dinner, how's that for mature?

I’m guessing back in America, marriage she would be around 20s-30s, then again being from Hawaii, I know a lot of my high school class mates got married and had kids a few years after graduating. I can say it varies differently in other US states. I know people who lost their virginity in high school, it was actually quite common and teen pregnancy was a concern.

In Georgia, some people get married and have babies in high school. I went to school with two girls who were best friends who both had babies at 16 years old, about a week apart. Now, as adults, they still do everything the same. One got divorced and the other one did too not long after. Other girls were married when we graduated from high school.
@PatriceBoivin5 жыл бұрын
same in Canada or most young people. Divorce rates are high though which makes me wonder about what motivated some people into getting married. An oath is an oath, but many (almost half) of people don't seem to see it that way and either were delusional when they married, or find themselves in untenable situations, or just don't take things seriously.

Finances and cheating are the most common reasons to cut the knot. Young newlyweds risk getting hitched before they develop a stable income and the wisdom to spend wisely, not helped by the lack of education in personal finances and home economics. We're also discovering that monogamy and polygyny are actually anomalous to agriculture, where a farmer had the resources to control a territory and one or more wives -- most of human history was as nomadic hunter-gatherers, where patrilineage was not important or even intentionally obfuscated with all members getting with each other regularly; with the rise of automation and globalization, economic volatility has morphed our lives into one that's less agricultural and more hunter-gatherer, and it could be reflecting in our declination of monogamy and getting married altogether.
