I love this child. Signed to Republic records just this year. Has recently released her first original recording with Republic entitled Million Miles, inspired by her beloved grandfather who passed away in 2018. I probably listened to that song 50 times the day it was released and cried all day long. Simply beautiful. Looking forward to following her career over the years to come. Hi Carla, actually she dedicated "Always on My Mind" to her grandfather who died in March '18, but "Million Miles" was written last winter after her second grandfather died in Nov.'19... She was working with production team Stargate on the song when one of them had the owner of Republic listen to it, which prompted the process of creating a contract she and her family could agree on.

Yep, you just got a new subscriber. I'm 66 and have been following this young lady for about 5 years. Every time I hear her sing, and I've listened to the approximately 130 songs she has on KZbin dozens of times each, I still am amazed. It doesn't have to be next, but you must react to her black and white version of Screaming Jay Hawkins 1956 original "I Put A Spell On You", just after she turned 9 years old. If Rusty Shackleford comments, you must read the short biography of her that he shares with those that are just discovering Angelina. I look forward to your journey of her songs.

This is my favorite performance from Norway's got talent of hers, so I am glad you started here, not that the others are any less spectacular (And the shock of we don't know what to expect on the judges faces can best be seen in her first performance, Gloomy Sunday, when she tells them 'I am going to sing for you' and they ask her what song and she calmly announces 'Gloomy Sunday from Billy Holliday' already shocking the judges before she even sings the first note, sounding like a 50 year old jazz singer). Most people can tell how great Angelina is just by listening to one song, but something I've noticed watching Angelina reactions over the years... professional singers and musicians seem to get how great she is in only a few notes. Okay. You’ve seen 8 year old Angelina and it’s amazing, right? Now, please go to earlier this year when Angelina was 13 and sang her incredible version of Bohemian Rhapsody that will just stun and freeze you. You said she’s adorable here-she’s world class now. Angelina is the best singer, the most unique talent, I’ve ever heard and I’ve followed music since the 1950’s. After Bohemian Rhapsody, you can go anywhere through over 100 songs in many different genres that she just kills. Describing her singing is impossible. Just listen to a couple more and you’ll be hooked for life.

Bohemian Rhapsody was the first song I heard Angelina sing. Since then I am hooked. She has over 130 songs on YT and I have listened to all of them, several times, - not one poor or even average performance amongst them.

Come on Barry! Admit it. Even the best jazz singers that ever lived could give you such a beautiful rendition. Great reaction to a vocal tour-de-force! You've done it now. You have fallen into the vortex of Angelina Jordan who arguably brings the most confident, versatile, seemingly effortless, and fearless vocal artistry found today (whether measured across artists, genres, or decades). You may think this an exaggeration but listen to a few more of her many performances (120+ covers and original songs - all on YT) and you will see! Consider reacting when this young lady at 13yo steps before a huge audience with judges and totally controls the room down to the pin drop level, starts a cappella, and completely transforms Bohemian Rhapsody (which might be the most iconic song on the planet) and does it superbly with calm and confidence. It is the rare singer that can, as Angelina has done, go from Gershwin to Queen to "Screamin" Jay Hawkins to Adele to Elvis to Whitney Houston to Etta James to Miley Cyrus (and many others in between) and do them all justice! If you want to hear music, listen to anyone. If you want to feel music, listen to Angelina. She will stagger you with her ability to find and bring forth the 'essence', the emotional message of nearly any song. You have far to go with Angelina. She is equally comfortable and equally able to impact us whether singing a cappella, accompanied only by a piano or guitar, in front of professional studio musicians or an 80 piece military band. After Angelina's first audition on Norway's Got Talent (she sang 'Gloomy Sunday' which was also gobsmackingly amazing) one of the judges said "you are music" which is a good description of Angelina. The same judge said "the rasp in her voice sounded like she had been sipping whisky since she was borne". Angelina is a true prodigy. Barry welcome to Angelina's world and her legion of angels (fans). Angelina is a music prodigy specializing in vocals, the only such prodigy I know of. As talented as she is, she is an even better human being, filled with empathy. She has promised to always perform barefoot until every child on Earth has shoes. Here is how that mission began. At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina befriended this girl who was wearing soiled clothing and no shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina so moved by the poor girl, took off her favorite sea green ankle boots and gave them to the poor shoeless girl. Angelina promised the girl she would perform barefoot until every child on Earth has shoes. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East.

I am a huge AJ fan, why you ask, because this long lady can provoke emotions within me that no other singer can: she is totally amazing with 130+ covers and original performances. I will ask of you just one thing, please find out as much as you can about her because most reviewers do not bother. Why she performs barefoot, what competitions she has performed in, her age where she is from. These are the things that I researched and I am pleased I did. Angelina can take an original track, change it and it becomes hers and I'm including tracks by Adele and Lana De Ray in that comment (yes really). Hi Barry, I discovered Angelina about 5 years ago, when the only videos available were her journey in Norway’s Got Talent, and an open air concert of her singing What a Difference a Day Makes. I knew then she was destined for great things. As you know she is now 14 yrs old, and apart from taking part in AGT The Champions, which you really must review, she has just released her first self penned single called Million Miles. Thanks for your first nice reaction to Angelina, Barry, she is incredible for her very young age and for the security she shows in what was the final of her first public event. Seeing her sing the 4 different songs in this Talent, one realizes that she has never had hesitations or fears, the only moment when she returned as a child is when they declared her winner with about 46% of the votes, that she let herself go with tears of emotion. ❤️ ❤️ She sang Summertime many more times and each subsequent version has a different flavor, but they are all incredible. In this other version, 2 years later, she herself asked the orchestra to slow down the music and she applies modulations and bass tones in a different way. She has some bodily attitudes that she has not normally used in other versions and her voice is also very clear because the instruments of the orchestra remain in the background and are absolutely not invasive. kzbin.info/www/bejne/b6Wsm4Bph6xpe6M Angelina, in the approximately 130 covers and originals that she has recorded in 7 years, she has always tried her way and her version of the songs, at times almost changing them, as in AGTC, at other times simply by changing the times or the reading keys, but always based on her ability to understand and elaborate the song which, for a girl of that age, is almost supernatural. She simply loves to sing and does it her way. Please go ahead with her discovery, it will be a decision you will surely not regret 😊

You are witnessing a generational talent whom happens to be a supremely gifted genius level individual. Watch her six year old studio performance of, “I who have nothing”. You will not only see a jaw dropping vocal performance, but you will also see that she is reading the lyrics. I don’t know of any other six year old child that can read at an adult level and comprehend the content. Angelina speaks four languages and she is the youngest Norwegian to have written a book and have it be published. Angelina also writes most of the arrangements to the cover songs she sings. This now 14 year old young lady has already accomplished more than most of us will in our lifetimes. She won “Norway’s Got Talent” at the age of seven. Angelina recently signed with Republic Records and she just released her debut single. She wrote, composed and sung this timeless song that will always remain relevant as long as people suffer the loss of their loved ones. do you know her story of why she performs barefoot ? she was out with her family one day walking and she came across a young girl about her own age sitting on the side of the road crying. she was cold and didnt have any shoes because her family was so poor. so angelina took her shoes off and gave them to the little girl who thanks her very much. and when asked why she performs barefoot, she either tells that story or she simply says, its to help her remember not all people are as blessed as she is and to keep herself humble. a great young lady. she doesnt have to be told what to do, she does it on her own.

She has several other songs from when she began her public career on Norway's Got Talent at 7-8 years old (Gloomy Sunday, I'm a Fool To Want You and Bang Bang), although she really began much earlier. She has many, many more covers and original songs between then and now... all wonderful! She sang on America's Got Talent: Champions at the beginning of 2020 and sang Bohemian Rhapsody, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and Someone To Love. She just recently released a new single "Million Miles" about the loss of her grandfather and what he meant to her. I first saw her (YT suggestion) singing Dinah Washington's "What a Difference a Day Makes" several months after she won NGT. I was amazed by her talent and have followed her ever since. You've already noted her phrasing..AT THAT AGE! She does her own arrangements. As she's matured so has her mastery of her talent(s), not to mention her range. She seems to sense how the song should be sung, adapting her voice to the genre, but jazz is her foundation. Being an old f@rt I love her reinterpretations of the jazz classics. Her cover of Cole Porter's 1944 classic "Every Time We Say Goodbye" brings me to tears every time I listen to it (which is frequently) and yet it's comforting. I've come to say that she is an artist who paints emotion with her voice.

Barry, now you know why we've been asking you to react to her for so long. You are in the "shock" stage right now. Eventually you will get to the "in awe" stage. I'm sure she has already touched your heart. And, once she does she will never leave you. Guys will be sending you playlists (125+ covers and 5-6 originals) so you can pick and choose where you want to go to. Probably a good idea to jump to her version of Bohemian Rhapsody. To work her songs chronologically to BR would take forever. Summertime was the song she sang in the finals. Her audition was Gloomy Sunday (Billie Holiday) and I suggest you do that one next. Another beautiful, angelic singer who also has a beautiful, humanitarian soul to match is Amira Willighagen. She is 16 now (won Holland's Got Talent at 9), now lives in South Africa, and has donated much of her earnings to building playgrounds for underprivileged South African children. Her genre is opera / crossover pop opera / classical. She sings "Amazing Grace," "Nella Fantasia," and a medley of songs from "The Sound of Music" like no one I've ever heard.
