Do you guys have any organization methods or items that you really like?

Especially since you travel with a vacuum, space bags are incredible. We put all blankets, comforters, sheets, and even our pillows (we also have the ghost pillows) into the space bags. Once you suck them down, they take up anywhere from 50-75% less space and everything will "reinflate" once you open them back up. This has really made it much easier to do the packing.

Great ideas with the shoe caddy. Those could be cut and hung anywhere

Dude your videos have helped me convince the wife to buy a camper. And as of today I officially have a 2005 Coleman grand tour elite!! Needs work but your videos are so well made for maintenance cleaning and repairs. You’re a huge help thanks for the videos

Great ideas! We're going to try the milk crates under the bench seating. We have five in our family so each person gets a specific color set of packing cubes. This helps a lot. Your storage box in front is so neatly organized - that's a dream.

Good idea on the packing cubes. We use those for travel all the time. The front storage is great, but I know they are prone to leaking if youre not on top of maintenance.

Great idea and want to try that out. But where do you store the sitting cushion and back cushion (large ones) when you used the slide out storage for other stuff? That’s where I usually store them.

We purchsed our first one and picking up tomorrow. We are excited and bit anxious about this whole new “toy”. Your videos have been a God send. Thank you for taking the time and guiding us along the way. ❤️🌹

Baskets are great at keeping items from falling over and easy handling. We use them for everything. Sizes vary according to space

Great ideas! I love all the totes you guys have, keeps things organized where they should be. Clutter and chaos can make camping stressful imo... the exact opposite of what camping is supposed to do! We have a hard side pop up and have similar methods of organization, using wire shelves, baskets, and totes as you do. My favorite organizational mod though is our lounge area. Since we eat outside most the time, we got rid of our heavy bulky dinette table and put in several storage ottomans to turn it into a giant lounge area. It increased our storage an incredible amount!

Morning! Love the walk through on what you all are doing! We use the 3 drawer sterilites for our dish storage and fits perfectly for us. I also did just build the wire shelf/tension rod mod for additional space. Might be an idea for you for vertical storage or above the kitchenette. Thanks again!
@ItsPoppin4 жыл бұрын
I think I saw the wire shelf mod video. Where do you store it when you're traveling?

@@ItsPoppin everything breaks down and fits within our PUP. (On top of the sterelites. We are going out this weekend I will try and snap a photo up and stored.

Not sure how I missed this but it was good to see the space id be working with. I loved the hanging idea for food items!! Id try to get some hanging bags for produce! They could hand on towel holders possibly unless you have 2 clothes hanging hooks

For those with little to no experience. Remember, ounces+ounces=lbs. Pay attention to your manual & GVWR(gross vehicle weight rating);GAWR(gross axle weight rating);GCWR(gross combined vehicle weight rating);UVW(Unloaded vehicle weight);CCC(cargo carrying capacity). Not to forget tire load/speed rating. Don't go using up space to cram things inside or on top of your trailer just because it's available. This can become very unsafe, leading to swaying, uneven load causing tire blowouts and mechanical failure such as leafsprings/bolts snapping. Inform yourself before you go loading your trailer. Get a load and anti- sway kit for your trailer. 150-300 dollars will save you a total loss+deductible, or fatal accident. Educate yourself about towing. You will be surprised what you have been ignoring.

How important is it to balance the weight of your cargo inside the trailer left to right? My trailer seems to be much heavier on the left side when utilizing storage space.

Google has not proved successful BUT when I was a kid my parents had a vinyl wrap around that went outside around the back pop-up bunk for storage (mostly keeping things dry from rain). Do they still sell those? Or any ideas what we could use if they don’t sell them?
@ItsPoppin3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, they're called a bunkend skirt. It will probably depend on your make/model pop up if they make one specifically for your camper. We've never had one, but I suppose you could make one with a tarp.

Not handy, but we bought it from Walmart. Edit: It looks like the one we purchased is out of stock, but here is one that looks very similar and is less expensive: amzn.to/3iVMcTE
