I Played the Pokemon Platinum remake we all wanted! Luminescent Platinum!

Pokemon modders are doing the insane! Imagine pokemon platinum except its remade on the switch. We add a bunch of national dex pokemon. Speed up the battles so they dont take so damn long, add unique forms from other regions, run at a stable 60fps, enhance a bunch of the animations and have true sized pokemon? But guys this is only the start with a whole other line of quality of life improvements and changes.

Its crazy how much modders can accomplish when given an engine and infinite passion for an ip. Imo Game Freak should hire people like these modders to make a spinoff like Colosseum, but more modern.

There is no need to hire anyone, changes and additions like that would be the easiest thing ever to implement for these developers. They simply don't have to do it because people buy this stuff even though they put zero effort into it. And they wouldn't hire fans for a spin off either since they would have the capabilites to actually hire professionals with all that budget but still stick to their like 30 man team just to safe money

@@ScubaShark8857 I think it's not just similar, it's the same source code. Bdsp even checks for Gba games in the "DS system", it is doing that because they never removed the code. And this line of code probably wasn't put in for a switch game, so it only makes sense that it was just always there.

sucker punch fails if the target uses prio move, the attack has to have 0 prio or less for sucker to go off

@@teejarr No, sucker punch hits even if the target uses a priority if it's slower. For Sucker Punch to fail the target needs to: use a +1 priority while being faster than the user, use a higher priority (Extreme Speed for example), use a status move or switch out

People really want games like this. I'm surprised GameFreak STILL hasn't done something where you can randomize Pokémon, so people can do an Ironmon challenge. But something like this would be easy. And it would make them money. Certainly more than the fare whether games we've been getting. They just need to add updates once in a while, and people would pay for it, as long as the game was good.

This girl from 2018, who I still care about even though we've been out of each other's lives for a long time, got me that Mega Benette Gengar Cosplay Gengar Plush in 2018, then that same Gengar came out in Pokemon GO in 2019, I got a 98% IV one as my first, then got her an extra one just in case we ever meet again. The Distortion World and Giratina part was in BDSP. You can't catch that one either. I know that it was a single group of people and this is an amazing mod, but they copy and pasted that part from the original remake (that sounds odd)

Thinking sucker punch will out speed ice shard LOL. For anyone that doesn't know sucker punch is a +1 priority move on an attack the problem with this move is that if it's used on a turn someone uses a priority move in this case ice shard which is also a +1 then the one that will go first goes back to the original speed stat. Being that weavile base speed is higher it will move first.

So nobody's gonna mention that this is literally just BDSP meets Renegade Platinum? Like genuinely this isn't a bit, the game is literally Renegade Platinum to a tee. The way you have to chase down some gym leaders (I remember specifically Maylene and Candice in Snowpoint Temple as a main plot point), having to go to RENEGADE PARK to battle Darach, the stat trainers like Riley and MIra battling you, this is literally just Renegade Platinum ported over to BDSP. I feel it is weird nobody else is pointing this out at all

If I could mod my Switch, I'd 100% get BDSP just to get this mod. I'm of the minority that loved the art style, but wasn't thrilled to hear about the graphical issues in the game. I fell off the bandwagon after SuMo and haven't wanted to give them Game Freak a single penny since. My only critique with this mod is that it keeps some "blank aura" backgrounds, but this otherwise looks smooth.

@@Ragiroth Downloading was straight forward, using Ryujinx took some setup with the controls on SteamDeck, but otherwise it works great! Had to fiddle with the graphics setting to get it to run 60 fps, otherwise it runs at 45 on my OLED
