been dropping some other comments, so i hope i am not over-doing it. i am so glad to hear a genuine heartfelt rendidtion of this song. i was a jp fan from just about his beginning and his words and intent have carried me through many times good and bad. years later, losing him has been like losing a family member for myself, my wife and my son. john put so much into his works that i feared no one would touch his songs. i feared his music would die. i am very glad to hear that there are now people popping up all over to sing his songs. they should be sung! they say that one of the things you can do to help those who have lost family is to remind them 'mary would have loved this event' or ''joe sure was good at this game' or whatever such that they know their loved one is not forgotten... not gone... still a part of. whether it is funnin' around to some of his more light-hearted stuff or putting one's heart and soul into his deeper music - you are keeping him alive. and, maybe, in the process, you add a bit of him to your own life. but you are helping many of us along the way, too. thank you.

It’s kind of funny because the dust from the craziness of my morning just settled, and I sat down to do exactly that… and here we are :) This is actually the second comment I’ve seen today-the first was negative (I realize I’m lucky to have only gotten a couple of those so far… though it still takes a moment or two to brush them off). Reading your message made that one seem even more insignificant. Thank you, Mark. Before I started doing this, I never commented on anyone’s videos-I didn’t think it would matter, maybe? But this experience has really opened my eyes to the fact that people don’t know what you don’t tell them… just like no one would know how much I appreciate their kind and supportive words unless I tell them. Honestly, this is where I find most of my motivation to keep at it. Daily reminders of connection and proof that most people are good ♥️. In the beginning, I decided I would always respond with sincerity, so I do get behind… but I will get there! All my best to you… x
