1).As an artist IU is really diverse she's a total package. Her singing, dancing and acting ( she's doing well with her current drama Mr.Mister, and people telling that she was bad at acting in scarlet heart well people cry and that is a part of her acting) are above average. and she puts every performance with so much thought to make it memorable. and come to think of it every girls here started with a girl group and iu debuted as a soloist. that's why she's really well-respected in korea. 2.) Taeyeon is really vocally good and you can feel her emotions to every song and she has this unique aura when she's on stage. She can be a bad ass and a cutie as well. but taeyeon haven't tried acting so maybe if she did and she nailed it she might be no.1 3) sunmi is a total queen of facial expressions. She can eat the whole stage if she wants to. and her songs are really catchy and trendy. 4) Suzy she's good with singing,acting and dancing but I pretty much see her as an actress now and her songs are good but not that good as the other 3. Suzy is average at singing and dancing, even though she is successful with her acting career I don’t like her acting as I do IU’s. IU, she has the voice of an angel, in terms of singing she’s the best, she was able to sing songs from Kim Kwang Seok and those are really hard she was able to transmit the emotions Kim Kwang Seok transmitted to us, but of course I can't compare her with Kim Kwang Seok because he was amazing I can't describe it. I'm not being biased because I love Suzy and I think she’s the prettiest Idol and so many people don't know Suzy is amazing at singing and she actually wrote some of her songs. For me it's Taeyeon, she clearly has an impecable technique because she's been for so long in the industry, but on top of that she not only puts emotion on her voice, but also on her face, wether it's a happy song or a ballad, her stage presence it's strong. She's truly an amazing performer. IU it's also good, but idk her facial expressions for me are lacking a little bit (dont hate me it's just that she doesnt give me the emotions Taeyeon does) Sunmi it's great at facial expressions and stage presence, like wow, she puts on a whole show. Ana Clara Freitas I mean... besides IU, the test started out as members of girl groups. And if you think about the qualities of a soloist, you have to consider technique, versatility, charisma, among other things. In terms of versatility, Taeyeon has done the most versatile concepts, everything from ballads, to hip hop, go r&b, to something almost like jazz/country. IU is also really versatile as well, though she tends to stick to a general genre. In terms of technique, Taeyeon would come in first with IU next. Charisma, I really don’t know how to objectively rank them because it’s based on preference. When it comes to artistry, I have to give it to IU. Her messages and concepts are so unique and creative and the message behind some of her songs are amazing. I think that’s where Taeyeon is headed, with her latest album. She’s finally having a say in her image and her concept, and she’s finally breaking away from that image she had when she was an idol. Her songs have become a lot more personal. It’s why I’d rank Taeyeon and IU as equals, with Sunmi and Suzy following them. They both have different styles and while IU has had more experience as a soloist, I do believe Taeyeon’s experience as a vocalist already gives her an advantage in her solo career. I love both of them for completely different reasons.

Rather than performing , i think she tries to make statements through her songs , from the writing to producing to the songs u can see her signature on it. Taeyeon’s latest one “Purpose” sold 393,732 albums (totaled from KR, JP, and CHN sales) “Purpose” beat Blackpink’s record of most sold albums in 24 hours by a female artist/group, selling over 80,000 albums. I love both soloists for very different reasons. I listen to IU’s music when I’m in a certain mood and I listen to Taeyeon’s music when I’m in a different one. But in regards to album SALES, Taeyeon just sells more. Does that mean she’s better than IU as a soloist? No. IU has more views on her MVs compared to Taeyeon. Does that make her a better soloist? First of all, IU's latest album is not a palette, but a love poem. IU's love poem is 147,8**. Taeyeon's initials are 132,8**. Taeyeon's purpose is to add a repackage album, so 393,732 is not the exact number. IU sold more than 250,000 copies with a single album and it is still selling. I guess you don't have much interest in IU. You don't even know her latest album. IU is number one on record. And in case of KZbin, IU has good views. Taeyeon was originally a member of a group called Girls' Generation. So I think it can't be helped. It's true that the group has good views. But the fact that there's not much difference means IU is amazing. And have you ever heard of a music queen? Your grades will prove that IU is the top. Especially in Korea, IU is considered a legend, and she has been loved for a long time and will continue to be. Of course, Taeyeon is great, but she's still lacking compared to IU. 1. IU I've never seen another person in kpop put as much emotion into their songs as much as this woman does. Her voice is beautiful and she probably has my favorite music out of these four. Her palette album is an absolute masterpiece. I love every song on there with Jam Jam and Ending Scene being my favorites. Her voice is also the most diverse out of these women. Like, she can pull off cute and seductive and make you want to cry depending on the vibe of the song.Her stage presence lacks at times but she's still the best overall to me. 2. Sunmi She's probably my personal favorite soloist in kpop tbh. Her stage presence is fire and she's gorgeous. She has the most unique voice out of the soloists here but it's probably because she has the worst technique although I'm glad that she can sing with her real voice since she left JYP. Also since Gashina she's had this kind of abstract high fashion sort of vibe to her music and music videos. My only problem with Sunmi is she really needs some more music. Like, can someone please explain to me why her only album was for Full Moon and it was only a mini album? Also, I probably wouldn't have put her before Taeyeon if she wouldn't have put out Heroine but Heroine's a masterpiece so i really couldn't put her any lower than 2. 3. Taeyeon I think she's probably the most diverse out of the soloists here. Like, she's had so many different concepts although she seems to have started leaning a bit more towards ballads which her ballads are also really good so no complaints here. Her voice is absolutely stunning like omg. Probably the most well rounded soloist here as well. 4. Suzy I kind of feel bad because every comment I've seen on here has put Suzy in 4th. Her Yes No album and single for that album are disgustingly underrated. I really wanted her to keep that sounds and concept but she seems to be going a lot more mainstream with her sound. Sober is pretty good and Holiday is okay but overall I like her old sound a lot more. Her voice is pretty but not that special imo especially compared to the other girls here. She also always seems to lack stage presence and look bored on stage but she'll probably get better at that with time.

It's IU for me. She's an artist and has mastered writing, composing, and producing her own songs. The variety of genres in her albums are amazing; she can do jazz, pop, orchestral pop, r&b, ballad, folk, indie, etc. which is rare to see. She debuted as a soloist with no fanbase and without being part of any GG so she had to work her way up to be well-known.

No doubt does Taeyeon have the best vocals and techniques. But because this just says soloist battle I would rank it like this. 1.IU (comes first because of her extreme musicianship. She knows what kind of vibe she wants and knows how to convey it to her audience. Which is why she is so well respected in Korea and rated 1 for female soloist.) 2.Taeyeon (Best vocals and her last album really showcased her finding her own music and voice rather than just going with whatever SM gives her.) 3.Sunmi (Her stage presence is extremely strong. She is a great performer like Lee Hiyori or Chaeyeon from the past.) 4.Suzy (Lacks stage presence. I think she would be better off sticking with OST's and acting. I adore IU. I listen to all these artists and more but Palette was a perfect album and Flower Bookmark 2 as well. Some of my favorites (for anyone curious about getting into IU): 💚Glasses (Chat-shire): There's something about this song I adore. It has such a unique style. I promise you won't regret it! It's addicting! 💙Dear Name (Palette): When she sings Dear Name (watch it live), I cry every time. It makes me feel really emotional and to be honest none of these other artists do.
