apple won’t drop the stem design, it’s just too good and too iconic, the bean form is often easier to fall out of ear and touch controls are worse cause they activate when you try to push it into your ear

I loved the design of Beats Fit Pro, but lost them at the gym probably and location will not show anything because it's beats... owned by apple.. but not the same functionality apparently...

@@sheresik i don’t know which beats have findmy, but 100% there are some, the new beats pill has it. i get it, whatever you like, i like that the touch controls are on the stems, my previous earbuds in bean shape always thought i wanted to pause when i was just pushing them into my ear when they were falling out. also i don’t mind it sticking out, the weight distribution works better for me and it’s the same as having cables going out of your ears.. except without the cables XD

Also I only care about 3 functions on the headphones of this type: Pause, Next song and Noise cancellation on/off these did it extremely well. But too bad I lost them...

I just got the Bose QC Ultra and I'm debating whether I return them and wait for the APM2... decisions 😭 I currently own the Bose QC Ultra and the B&W Px8 McLaren Edition. AirPods Max really need a new chip and USB C at the very least. Wish they figured out how to stream via airplay instead of bluetooth on those to allow higher fidelity audio playback. But from what ive read it's still too energy intensive.

If the update to AirPods Max was USB-C only, I don't see why they wouldn't have just released it last year along with the AirPods Pro 2 USB-C refresh. I think the rumors are wrong. I can't see any world where Apple releases their most premium pair of headphones without an H2 chip. It's a major selling point for the AirPods Pro 2, especially with Adaptive Transparency which is an incredible feature. It would be extremely unlike Apple to use a 4 year old chip in their most premium model of anything. Major disappointment if the rumors are true.

24/48, actually, but only with Vision Pro. I bet Pro 3 and Max 2 will have it, but no one is talking about it. Same here. I bought a pair of Airpods pro 2 with USBC because I wanted to see if I could get use to the ear tips, but they gave me an ear ake after I was wearing them for like 2 or 3 hours at a time with the medium ear tips, so I ended returning them after 4 days. I didn’t try a smaller size ear tip, so I don’t know if its just the medium size thats the problem or if ear tips just don’t work with my ears. I hope the airpods 4s with speaker case don’t come with silicone ear tips because I really like the case on the Airpods pro 2s and it would be nice to have it on a pair of airpods with out the ear tips even if the ANC isn’t that goods like on the galaxy buds live.

According to MY sources (myself) Apple will definitely have real upgrades to the Airpods Max including noise cancellation and transparency mode features similar to how they upgraded the airpods pros 2nd gen. Visually I’ve always loved how the AirPods Max look. Features, not so much. It could feature cellular connectivity and AI-enabled voice control, so we could leave our phones and all those tiktoks and reels at home and have our digital detox. I would even go further and tweak the exterior of airpods case to look like a miniature camera having a small screen on one side and a lens on another. Because taking pictures matters, while carrying a 6-7'' screen is not. So basically voice calls, messaging and pics in addition to classic audio features, while anything more than that goes to iPhone and iPad.

The main things for me on the Max,s will be USB C for less cables on my desk (I use usb `c' Logitech keyboard & mouse for my Mac), a way to replace the support net as I have needed to add as silicon replacement for mine. Price i'm happy with because if its lowered then we will be losing quality, I dont care for the switch off function because reality is it barely drains enough that a few mins charge cannot rectify anyway and who needs another button with potential to break. The Travel case cover would be a nice but in reality I think ive only taken them out of my house twice in three years as so much easier to take my AirPods pro's anyway.

@AppleTrack -Theory here about the pro 4 models-there is some really crazy cool battery tech coming out from a Dutch company improving lithium ion batteries with silicon anodes instead of graphite that is boasting some next gen stats and they were pretty close lipped about which consumer market they were starting out producing for (they stated not cell phones or laptops etc. but the vibe was “we have a contract in place with a client and we can’t talk about it”. Long story short I could see them waiting for this tech to be able to do stemless.

NO don’t get the SonyXM5 i was going to get them too cause my main earbuds are AirPods Pro 2nd Gen as well i bought them since November 2022 and I’m very pleased with them so i was looking for wireless headphones and i thought Sony XM5 were good choice decent price but NO after i heard so many MANY people report that they are actually not good at all, sound is very muddy, noise cancellation is way too much that crushes the sound, the build quality… terrible the hinge breaks easily they are just not it so i changed my mind to getting AirPods Max i will just wait until September if they release the second version of AirPods Max if not I’m getting the og one i suggest you do the same as well, as you said you have AirPods Pro 2 you can go on for a bit with them wait till September event.

I used to have the in-ear wf-1000xm4’s and still have them somewhere but Sony had to replace the earbuds themselves through warranty about 5 times within two years because the batteries kept shitting themselves and wouldn’t hold a charge or even charge, the cases also act up with the static in my pockets and auto connect to my phone when it isn’t even open..

@@feeltheburntk9893 I turned off auto connect because between my phone, laptop, and work computer it became a bit of a headache. Towards the end of my gen 1s after maybe two years, only one really worked, so I might be a little biased about differentiating between the two. All around sound quality and noise cancellation is way better though, but still not as good as Sony. Gen 1s also randomly killed themselves when not in use, where my Gen 2s rarely do that. There seems to be a more snug fit in the case, and a better fit in the ears with the additional ear cup sizing. I’ve never had the in ears for Sony, but I do remember that switching over to a newer phone was a nightmare because I couldn’t figure out how to unpair before eventually leading to a full factory reset. The qualm I do have is using the microphone. It never seems to work, so I just use them mostly for work, music, watching movies, or gaming
