People like other personalities, not brands. Seeing streamers, you see someone just like you who started their channel and cultivated their own audience. They're just going to where the audience is at. Traditional media is mainly consumed by older people where as streamers like Kai have a massive grip on the younger side of the audience. It's nothing new, they'll go to the thing that replaces streamers next

Im actually quite surprised that none of these artists have actually started streaming themselves. You'd think after all the business they volunteer to the world & the drag it must be to feel like you have to be somewhere (even if its for a stream) youd cut the cost of promo just by doing your own streams and connecting with your people everyday. I could see a world where a Rapper/Streamer exists & starts killing shit on a Speed & Kai level.

Yeah there's ppl like Kai (the 1% of streamers) but when you go outside the US like to UK alot of ppl have never heard of him. Then u got rappers who make less like 21 savage and every1 that listens to rap knows him. I assume because streaming in general is newer and rap has been around 50 years

Who knows, maybe the young rappers In their teens are coming up watching the big dogs and they become the first artist that's synonymous with it. It wouldn't look like they are using it for promo like the adapters of today are using it for promo now. It would be authentic because that's their whole world.

Idk its so hard for me to believe rappers NEED streamers. I always assumed they just wanted to expand their fanbase to a new demographic. Its not necessarily true that rap fans and streamer fans overlap. But i think ur right about rappers going on streams hurt their pride. Because streams attempt to peel back the persona, it makes them uncomfortable

i’ve been saying this. I’ll never knock Nicki for her success because than i’d just be hating to hate. There’s a clear difference between being the best rapper and the most successful rapper, and she happens to be the most successful. There are a lot of other female rappers that can do better than her lyrically, but they go unnoticed due to her success outshining other female artists. I do respect her journey, but she’s not the best in my opinion.
