About the Composer:

After emigrating to the United States to escape fascism, Castelnuovo-Tedesco continued to create significant works, particularly for guitar and voice. Romancero Gitano, composed in 1951, reflects his fascination with Spanish culture and Lorca’s poignant imagery.
