A glimpse of Pavel at 2.25 and at 4.45. He was a great Ivan too but did not have a chance to continue...

I liked the practise session where the dancers wore tee shirts. looked more contemporary. How about mixing it up a little, and not doing it exactly like it was done in the past.

This number will not work in Russia .The audience won't go . For touring in America, for example, it is quite possible . Americans still do not know the history of Russia ,so you can wear t-shirts and even jeans . And Ivan the terrible will ride a Harley Davidson instead of a horse . There is no limit to the absurd .

what for? changing the superficial is opposite of creativity. that is done by talantless to ride on others efforts. and it wont widen the audience, rather will alienate it. an all new choreography may make some sense but then why not change the music and create an all new ballet instead . in russia they still make new ones( with high inevitable risk of failure) , no need to mar the classics . perhaps where you come from its the other way around.
