I will be giving real time updates on egg/embryo counts on Instagram @irljaks . Thanks for watching!
This is our first round of IVF after two miscarriages in 2018. We are doing a freeze all cycle. I am using Gonal-F 150 Units, Menopur 75 units, and Cetrotide starting on day 7.
We retrieved 33 eggs, 29 were mature, 19 fertilized, and 4 made it to 5-day blastocysts.
🤞🏻🤞🏽 Subscribe to see what happens next on our journey. 🤞🏻🤞🏽

I’m so so sorry for this news! I feel your pain on the deepest level! I’m only 25… and I did 6 IUI’s every last one failed. But my doctor was “so sure” it would work because each time I had 3-5 mature follicles, etc. nope. So I moved onto IVF. At first I was SOOO ecstatic… 34 Eggs retrieved!! 27 Mature! AND I had 22 fertilize! (Now with ICSI, which is what I had, there is a 82% Fertilization rate which did fit my fertilization because 22 of the 27 fertilized) and then “statistics say expect about half to make it MAYBE 40% in bad cases. So I’m thinking great!! Going by “statistics” I should have 11 make it!! Worse case 8! That’s more than enough!! How many made it? 2…2 Surviving to 5 days blastocyst :( 4AA and 3AB quality). So my drop off was even steeper than yours! Wayyy steeper! 90% of my embryos died. I was DEVASTATED! (Also, just to add I don’t mean “oh my drop off was worse blah blah to say you should feel happy”! No no!! You’re 10000% justified in your feelings! And oh don’t need anyone’s approval to feel how you feel!! I was just sooo distraught and confused!! My doctor said because I only had 2 blastocysts she would NOT recommend PGT testing. I went back and forth but ultimately agreed. I had my first FET July 13th with my 4AA embryo. And by some miracle here I am 13w4d!! Anything is possible!! 🥰💜

Reading your comment in 2023. Same story as yours.. I had 22 eggs, 17 fertilized. But in the end, we got only 2 day 5 blastocysts. 4AA and 4BC. I'll do the implementation next year in the 2024 Feb cycle. Your story is giving me hope. Thank you for sharing.

Stay positive! My husband and I had two miscarriages and still birth at 22 weeks (August 2018). We went through two rounds of IUI. Just found out we are pregnant. It’s exhausting and mentally draining. But our rainbow babies will be here. Positive thinking!

same thing happened to us, and we still lost our PGS tested embryos due to implantation failures and DNA sperm fragmentation we lost 8 PGS tested embryos so, even if they do come back healthy, talk to you Dr about doing some type of immune testing, blood clotting and the like, as you do not want to lose them. DNA fragmentation really badly effects embryos and implantation. I am hoping they all come back healthy thinking of you. x We dealt with very bad sperm dna fragmentation 65% we got it down to 22% and did a egg collection got our son from that round. Took us 17 transfers never want anyone else to deal with that.

I had a recurrent miscarriage panel that I think checked for all the blood clotting disorders. I had one test come back in an ambiguous range so that will have to be retested before a transfer. Thank you for sharing your experience. I just discovered sperm DNA fragmentation, so I trying to learn as much as I can.
