IVF: More eggs or less? What's best for fresh vs frozen transfer?

I am 30 years old with PCOS. I just did my first egg retrieval on January 7th and my doctor retrieved 58 eggs. 41 were mature. All eggs fertilized though some fertilized abnormally(1pn). That left me with 35 eggs that fertilized properly. On day 5 10 blasts were frozen 4 with a grade of AA, 5 with a grade of either AB or BA and 1 that was a grade 4BB. Day 6 I had 18 blasts that were frozen 6 of which were grade AA. So my total day 5 and 6 count was 10 AA eggs, 11 eggs with a grade of either AB or BA, and 7 embryos with a grade of BB. Final count was 28 little frosties pending PGS testing on 10 of them next week. I wish I had done more but I actually will only be having one child preferably a little girl so we’ll see what I get. Also to note I did not develop OHSS or if I did I definitely didn’t know. I literally had to pack and move three days after my retrieval and I had no issues whatsoever. My period started five days after retrieval because I was given lupron for a trigger instead of hcg or whatever is used. My clinic is the BEST in California I am convinced!! Oh and btw my doctor already had an uphill battle due to my BMI being higher but again I had zero issues. I do think me doing accupuncture and taking myoinositol, vitamin D, melatonin,folic acid, ubiquinol, and vitamin E etc helped me. My doctor didn’t prescribe those meds to me but I read a book called it starts with the EGG and I just decided to take them. I just feel very blessed(I’ll feel even better after I get my pgs results back though 😳)

Thanks Dr. For this great video. I am from iraq, we did first cycle of ivf , after stimulation , the number of eggs was 7, only 3 out of 7 were fertilized , the doctors in the ivf centre decided to perform fresh embryos transfer of these 3 eggs at day 3 of fertilization ( 2 eggs were class B and only one was class A,) .the result of this first cycle was failure, please what your advice in subsequent cycle ? I have stage 4 endometriosis, and am getting my first retrieval done Saturday. What are my chances of developing OHSS? We were pretty high on the meds. I’m terrified of the pain 😢 I have chronic pelvic pain, and anything invasive hurts pretty badly. These frequent ultrasounds have been pretty painful later in the day.

The NIFTY Test: Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT) occurs during pregnancy. I think the possibility for finding an abnormal test with a euploid embryo is extremely low

Hello Dr 27 eggs was retrieved from the hospital called me that they have kept 3 eggs for me because am 31 year old on the day or transfer I was to that only the two eggs that there are going to transfer to me are the only one that survived . I did the transfer on 9.02.2022 am on waiting 2 weeks. I don't know what to say because we have spent a lot of money

Great video! Thank you, Doctor. I had a hatching embryo 5AA that stuck in the catheter. They had to remove it and transfer again. Do you think a sticking embryo can be damaged? I didn't see the little hatching area on the monitor the second time around. I'm worried it was damaged. I will find out for myself in 5 days via Beta draw.

My wife has irregular period. She does not have period for 50 days. She has been advised with 8days ocp.
