This is a helpful video. I'm 46 and going through IVF. We were able to only get one egg, and got it fertilized. I get it transferred tomorrow and hope for implantation. 🙏🏻🙏🏻 I'm also in Egypt, so donor eggs aren't an option. I'm hoping for this miracle to continue. 🙏🏻

The reason it isn't the same for everyone is that everyone responds differently to these medications, and patients also can have different goals and diagnoses. So, unfortunately, there's no set number of injections that a patient will administer.

Putting that single good looking sperm on the egg as he said is called ICSI. And because is considered a special technique it cost $800 to do in Australia (depending on were u do your ivf can be more or less). I'm in my 2nd cycle and im happy we went with his 1st description of a drop of sperm on a dish with the eggs. No extra cost to the already 10k treatment that it is ivf. Cos those 800 that i paid on the 1st cycle wont be reimburse with Medicare or Private. So hopefully u wont need ICSI

Thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately that will depend on a lot of different factors - some of which will be unknown until you actually have embryos. If you use PGT-A prior to the transfer you're doctor will be able to tell you a range with a little more confidence.

Hi @superluckao - what you're seeing in this video is sperm being injected into an egg to create embryos. The embryos can then be genetically tested, and a healthy embryo can be transferred. Any remaining embryos can be frozen and held in storage until needed.

Thanks for the question! There have been some outliers, but IVF at a more advanced age can carry considerable risk. While there is no clear and set limit to age and IVF a decision on whether IVF is suitable for someone may be made on a case-by-case basis with a doctor, taking into consideration whether the patient is healthy enough for pregnancy.
