@@aslemartinsen5284 I mean that's quite dishonest from the English speaking community to point "French kids" as raging, etc etc. I've been a passive on&off LoL player for 10 years, was always insulted for being French speaking by English speakers, obv most of the time for no reasons. The drama here is a stack of, a huge fanbase, a continuous discrimination between eng fr, and some "ultras" being clearly too much, communities that fell on KC at each of their games. It's a clearly unhealthy scenario but I don't see it changing by banning a few people supposed to be at the center of this toxicity drama on twitter. It's (imo) deeper than that, rooted in cultural differences. About Kameto, he explained the drama multiple times and quite extensively on stream, condemning toxicity, explaining that T1 didn't take the boo badly and would jump on any occasions to remake a KCX type of event (apparently the CEO even asked him tips to hold such a big community). People made a fuss about it for quite nothing, but I guess that's how social media works, toxic by essence. Might be one of the reasons too imo, twitter by itself. The lack of moderation, what is has become in general with porn and violence. Probably will (and was) never the healthiest social media to use to get the nice part of fanbases interacting with each other. Btw, G2 story is far worse than toxicity

Back when KC just came to the LEC, Caedrel was one of the few non Blue Walls members that defended them & initially he shuts down KC hates in his chat regularly whenever KC got shit on (they lose A LOT btw so when I say regularly it really is a VERY FREQUENT occurance) The fact that someone like that still got threats from KC fans & made him change his opinion on them within THE SAME YEAR says SO MUCH about their community. Caedrel simply can't take, justify & keep defending none of their bullshit anymore. Those blue bastards just goes rabid on whoever says even the *slightest* negative thing about them, regardless if it's objective or not. Blind hate all around, but when negativity came from within their Blue Walls they bats an eye & defend them, then not blame them, not even for a lil bit. That's why shit like this keeps happening & none of them stopped! let alone decreasing. Zero accountability behind anonimity & numbers behind crowd mentality. Hell, they'll even hide behind those "few bad apples" bullshit & none of the "Good ones" will make those "bad minorities" take responsibility at all. Yet they wonder why they get hated so much "for being French" despite French teams & players already existing in the League LONG before them but never even got close to the same amount of sheer unanimous spite towards a single community of people.

You understand that Twitter is not real life and that 75% of the community don’t even tweet or interact with it right ? You are biased because you form your opinions on a social media platform where all the toxic fans will rage bait everybody in the community for a bit of buzz. And by thinking like this you simply forget that the VAST majority of fans who are chill don’t even interact. So yes this toxic fans are loud and there is a lot because the fan base is one if not the biggest so they get more interactions etc… Also KC fan base and French fans in general are really into twitter (maybe a bit more than other fan bases in term of % of users) which amplifies this effect. But I can bet there that is not necessarily more toxic fans than in other fan bases in term of %. What might be different though is the degree of the toxicity (death threat etc…) which in my opinion goes a lot of time too far, and is what most of people will only remember. But having certain fans being super fucking toxic doesn’t equal having the most toxic fan base. If a fan base had 1000 fan and 500 of them were toxic than they would be the most toxic.

I think booing is seen differently in NBA or Premier League, because every match there is one home and one away side. On the other hand when you have something like the World Cup, in Japan or Russia or Qatar, it is seen as poor form to boo all teams other than the hosts.
@UnusGrunus4 ай бұрын
yea in some sports its almost tradition to boo the opponent, it's not meant as disrespect, more so to support your own team. like its a classic thing drunk fans do for fun. it's definitely lame but not THAT serious. but at the same time any chance to hate on KC fans is a welcome one lmao
@Zharghar084 ай бұрын
@@UnusGrunus Hold on, it definitely is also meant as a bit of disrespect. It's just a level of disrespect that's tolerated in a lot of sports culture because it usually doesn't get out of hand, and there's an inherent equality in how all the fanbases act. The whole KC thing is so annoying because eSports doesn't have that same type of culture built up. Normal league play doesn't have home or away teams so it's a different dynamic than the normal sporting one. Fans in studio are either cheering for any exciting thing that happens, or purely for their favorite team. Almost no booing normally occurs, especially in the asian leagues. It usually only happens in Western leagues in a cheeky way when a player is leaning in to some shit talk or something. Even in cases where there is a home element (Worlds in China or Korea for example) the fans rarely actually boo. This is even more notable when you consider that China and Korea aren't really on the best of terms and are culturally more likely to be openly hostile to each other than some random Euro squad. The LoL eSports scene is a culture that mostly reserves the shit talking to online communities, preferring to either be silent or generally positive in person. KC fans decided to not only ignore the established culture for their own preference, but they also booed a legend of the game in a for-fun event. Nobody does that shit in that situation, in any sport. Only time I see things like that is when the guy getting booed is a known shit-disturber or something and they play into it with the crowd. Faker aint that. KC fans decided that they wanted to spice things up, but when the community told them "nah man, we don't do that shit," they decided to act like victims instead of owning up to their overstep. Bunch of babies.

I've played football for years, gone to college football games, etc. I view KC as the Philly sports fans of the esports world. I view KC as more toxic because of the fact it is esports. While what the fans say isn't acceptable in normal sports, it's more understandable given the level of physicality of those sports. You would inherently expect fans of UFC to be more emotional and have stronger reactions/words than those of fencing or golf fans. But this is esports, where a game can be as short as 20 minutes. I'm not saying that esports can't be emotional at times, but I am saying that with this specific fanbase prides itself on being so disproportionately vulgar and insanely rabid reactions to any perceived criticism. Compared to actual sports fans, they're barely anything. But for esports, they shouldn't have been allowed to enter a major league to begin with.

And both thing sucks bcs its a cycle of negativity. Btw if you guys have any questions on kc and why we act a certain way sometimes pls ask me and ill try to explain it so we end this war of misinterpretation and irrational hateful comments.

I am French and i feel very sorry for this kind of attitude. I'm a KC fan of the shadow (I am not involved in anything) but I have support for the story of KC (how it started with Kameto and Kotei), however I absolutely don't agree with these types of behaviors and condemn them. Unfortunately it has become something very common in France, not only online. These 'small' groups will always defend their partners/friends even if it's totally irationnal. Unfortunately, Kameto and Kotei aren't doing anything to condemn this kind of attitudes and, in a way, are supporting it. I must say i'm in a deep depression myself part because of that kind of attitude you can find almost everywhere in France. Peoples are full of hate and feel the urge to express it whenever they find someone that is not on their 'line' of ideology. In my life I tried manytimes to reason with these peoples but they prefer to avoid the logical aspect to just try to be right, or justify their actions instead of taking responsability for it. The only solution I found is to ignore them as much as I can, but even that won't work because they will percieve it as a kind of "weakness" and will try to bully you. Nowadays I'm not sure anymore how to handle these peoples and I must say, If I had the possibility to get away somehow, I would take it, but I unfortunately can't. I'm really sorry for what you're going through with french peoples, I'm ashamed of my country. Sorry for my english.

@@yihadistxdl951I seriously don't get where you pulled this deep ass meaning in this comment from lol. Literally just says "I just found out Veigarv2 is a pedo from a rt" ? Many people do think he's really a pedo because of people badmouthing him on twitter, so it doesn't really make sense to assume that they're joking, when they could easily simply be disinformed.

These typa fans think it's fine to just say the most vile shit and are surprised nobody likes them. Yes we are aware that not all kcorp fans are like that, but when your community is known to everyone as a flaming pile of garbage and a lot of the fanbase actively encourages these toxic people and this "us vs them" mentality, not condemning the ones that are toxic and even doubling down the toxicity just because you feel the need to defend your own fandom to feel like a real fan, then you aren't changing anybody's minds anytime soon. Hold people accountable rather than defending them. The joke's not only a joke when the guy who said the joke is known to be a toxic fuck and what's worse is that they're known in the community and so much kcorp fans are defending them and saying the most vile shit to Caedrel through the replies and qrts.

In ESports you are too used to a calm envirnment of geeks (i am a geek btw ngl), being French i would say this though > our fans need and trully need to learn self restraint, and respect if we ccompare them to Korean fans who are mental for their teams but stay very respectful andyway. Last point, s a KC fan i definitley condemn the threats you were a victim of man, trully, amd i think KC is putting things in place to severely punish the psychos going too far.
