Her translations are a lil off, and misses DonJake's jokes at times. Which results in Tian responding pretty flat or straightforward. Translating is tough work, makes me appreciate Wendy even more (she translated the Knight interview)

I am fluent in both English and Chinese but there are some slight misinterpretations on Ruddy's questions here by the translator here on a few different occasions because she sometimes doesnt really understand the purpose behind some of the weird things he says XD

Interpretation is understanding the intent behind the message, and in her translations she removed the humor from Ruddy’s questions which is a fine translation, but poor interpretation. It’s why comedy is hard to translate because the interpreter has to understand the joke then try convey that joke the recipient and then you’re translating between Western&Eastern Cultures. For example, In Gala’s interview, Wendy was translating it and when Ruddy said “His Kaisa was better than him.” Wendy was like “OH GOD!” Before translating because without translating the Sarcasm, Ruddy just looks rude 👀 but because his intent was translated before during the interview, Gala could already Vibe out with that question that he was joking around and he responded with challenging him. With Tian if he got asked a similar question, the sarcasm would’ve been lost in translation.
