Thanks for a great video. The Jericho 941F is a sleeper gun but more of a CZ variant than a clone. The safety can be engaged in both DA & SA, the firing pin block falls away with the trigger press allowing a smoother trigger and the firing pin is captured by an end plate instead of a roll pin. The accuracy and recoil impulse have been admired as comparable to more expensive guns. I replaced 3 springs for 8 pound DA trigger pull weight. This Jericho is robust and a great club when I run out of ammo!

I have both, and love each in their respective roles. For a carry pistol I prefer the cz specifically a p-01 or pcr cause of the weight savings and the decocker. But as far as duty or hip carry or night stand gun I love the jericho. And honestly if push comes to shove the Jericho is probably my favorite pistol to shoot over all.

Thanks for the comparison. I have always wanted a CZ 75, but over the years never ended up buying one. 3 1/2 years ago I did buy a clone however. Tristar C-100 (by Canik) which is a CZ 75 compact clone. I am very happy with it, especially at 2/3rds the price. Grips, mags, and holsters all work with CZ 75 compact.

Jericho is a forged frame as to where the CZ is cast, not really a big deal in this day and age of manufacturing but for the price difference out of the box the Jericho wins hands down

@@derfaschist9687 true but with the metallurgy and alloys of today kind of like what Rock Island does with their cast 1911 frames adding vanadium to the steel which binds the carbon cells of the steel together stronger the reliability aspect is very negligible, but that being said IWI has significantly better quality control than CZ and getting a forged frame on a Jericho for pretty much $200 less out of the box with a way better frame to slide and barrel to barrel link and frame lock up you'd have to just be a CZ fanboy to choose it over the Jericho

I have a Jericho 941 fs9, love it! I have a genetic disorder that causes me to have weak hand strength, the weight of the steel frame Jericho allows me to be accurate. My Jericho was the gun that changed everything for me. I was no longer willing to spend my hard earned money on junk that didn’t work ever again. I have had mine for over ten years and when I say I have never had a malfunction I mean never. She chews threw everything I throw at it with a smile on her face. In the .40 caliber I have my daughters grew up staring with this pistol and they both at under ten could still handle it accurately. The most underrated pistol in my opinion as well and shoots at a lot higher price point than you get it for as well. You won’t be disappointed!!

Nice video. I got my 9/41 last year at a gun show that I was working at in Statesville, NC. It was used but like new in the box with all the accessories but also had BEAUTIFUL shade of blue G10 grips on it that really looked GREAT against the matt black finish on the pistol. I LOVE the fact that it uses CZ 75 mags (Midway usually has them Mec-Gar mags for a GOOD PRICE). Mine has the decocker safety which I do like very much even though I've got LOTS OF EXPERIENCE lowering the hammer on other pistols, been doing that for many years (shooting 9mm since I was 12 and jus turned 71 recently). I LOVE 9mm, so many NEAT and COOL pistols in that caliber (I own quite a few of them) partly because it's been around since 1902 and you get the best BANG for your buck as well. It will be around for MANY YEARS in the future. 🤔😉👍😁

My biggest gripe with the CZ75 is parts reliability. The CZ has a two piece slide catch and a firing pin retaining pin and both are critical parts that are prone to failure. The Jericho however has no firing pin retaining pin and has a firing pin/firing pin block design that is similar to that of a 1911. It also has a one piece slide stop. Over all the CZ has more small parts than a Jericho and that’s the biggest difference. The Jericho is simple and reliable where as the CZ is a bit more complex while also being reliable. Biggest con though is the Jericho is not nearly as popular as the CZ and has less aftermarket support so if they ever discontinued the Jericho it may be hard to source replacement parts for it. That said Cajun Gun Works does make replacement parts for both firearms.

I’d like to say that I’m the proud owner of TWO Jericho, 941FS’s! I bought my first one a few years ago and instantly fell in love! This is definitely one straight shooting, deadly accurate gun! When I showed it to my father, who had a CZ 75, we instantly got in a target duel and he was surprised that I won! We even went out to 75 yards and I didn’t miss once! So then he wanted to try my gun out (which was quite a reversal, seeing that I would always ask to borrow HIS guns!) and he only missed once with the 17 round clip! And he was surprised at how accurate, and how low the recoil was as well! But now that I have my concealed carry permit, I bought my second Jericho and I’m looking for a dual holster for both of them!

I've shot both and I own the Jericho, the Jericho is my EDC and my friends who have handled it call it the brick because as said in this video it's 2 1/2 pounds, however I'm a former MP and Sheriff's Deputy and I'm used to wearing a duty belt so the weight doesn't bother me, and unless I'm carrying one of my many wheel guns the Jericho is possibly the most accurate hand gun I have, unlike the 75 it has polygonal rifling instead of lands and grooves which gives me about 15 to 20% higher muzzle velocity because less friction, both the Jericho and the 75 have one thing in common that most people don't like and that's what I call the CZ pinch (no the guns don't pinch you) and the limited amount of slide to grab to rack the slide back because the slide rides in the frame and not on the frame which lowers the height of the frame and barrel bore axis which helps mitigate muzzle flip under recoil, what your showing on the slide stop as the button is actually the stop and the first part you compare is the part that protrudes through the frame that you push on to remove it for disassembly, both guns have non captured recoil springs the only difference is the length of the guide rods, grip module? You mean the Frame?

Have only found the CZ 75BD available for rent at ranges around the LR area, and pretty instantly fell in love with it, but also been considering the CZ SP-01 and IWI Jericho. Unfortunately, still trying to find an opportunity to actually shoot a Jericho - hard to justify dropping that kind of money in this economy for a pistol I’ve only handled at gun shows. If you know of any ranges that have them available for rent, would greatly appreciate it. Subbed, btw.

@@TheArkansasGunGuy Update no one asked for: Thanks in large part to your channel, I’ve decided to order an IWI Jericho whenever I can find the variant I’d like in stock again at Bass Pro (I’ve got like $500 in gift cards saved up) or more specifically, the full size steel frame Jericho with the manual frame mounted safety. Don’t plan for it to be an EDC by any means, but as far as I understand, I can keep it “cocked and locked” like a 1911 so all my shots are in SA with the frame mounted safety - but the slide mounted safety doubles as a decocker, forcing you to carry in DA/SA. Which isn’t terrible or anything - just not what I’m used to, and would take some extra training. Ironically, not long after leaving my last comment, I swung by Don’s in NLR - they keep a CZ 75 BD for rental at their range, which is how I first discovered I really, really like these odd Czech guns - they happened to have a couple Jerichos in stock and were kind enough to let me compare them and dry fire them side by side with a CZ 75B. The sights on the Jericho won me over. I’m in my 30s, but injured my left eye last year (and have never had good eyesight to begin with) and have some permanent vision loss in it, so being able to get on target quickly, accurately, and safely has taken on a lot more importance to me. Both guns had surprisingly nice triggers in both DA and SA. I really don’t think anyone could go wrong with either one. Question: I’ve seen some posts online about some design changes to the Jericho back in 2022 - although most of the complaints seem to be from people just upset about the fact that changes were made, not due to any impacts on performance or anything like that. Have any thoughts? Given the (apparent) lack of complaints in the 2 years since then, I’m assuming the design changes had little to no effect on performance or quality control, but you obviously have more experience in this area than I do. Thanks again for the videos and stuff - extremely helpful.

Neither of those are captured guide rods. A "captured" recoil spring is contained, or captured, at both ends of recoil guide rod. The recoil spring on your CZ is retained, probably by being wound slightly tighter for the first coil or two of the spring, like a 1911 recoil spring. In general I would rather shoot a Jericho and carry a CZ, which basically boils down the that frame weight.

IWI Jericho is a BATTLE PISTOL it was engineered with combat in mind so it’s way more reliable far more corrosion resistant and will last many lifetimes. CZ75 is nice but was designed to be a sport pistol for export NOT military use even though some militaries do use it. I’ve owned both and have no problem saying the Jericho is better. The Israeli took a great gun and perfected it and for $100-200 less than the CZ75 MSRP you can get a Jericho 941 with better ergonomics better machining a more durable corrosion resistant coating, better out of the box sights, cheaper mags ($26 USD vs CZ mags at $45-50 USD) and INSANE RELIABILITY. It's NOT called a grip module, it is called a frame. Learrn the proper terms if you are giong to do firearm review videos.

Great Video, im not sure why you referred to the Jericho as a clone of the CZ. I own the original Baby Desert Eagle, made in Israel. Pre-weapons ban. The 941 is a Clone of the Baby Desert Eagle. The main deference is the Baby Eagle doesn't have a built-in rail on the bottom of the frame. And the safety selector is ever so slightly different. They are The same Mag capacity 17+1. Barrel size, receiver is the same. Sights are identical. They shoot exactly the same. It's one of my favorite 9mm guns to Shoot. Recoil is low and much easier to handle, because of the weight. Which is the only downside. It's not exactly easy to Conceal. Its my bedside gun. Lots of bullets, back then it was the highest rnd count for a hand gun, I should say as far as I know. Now of course their higher capacity magazines. But listen, if you can't hit the target with 18 rnds, just throw the gun at them it's just as Lethal that way, lol. If I didn't have mine I'd buy a Jericho 941. There's still ways to attach lights or lazer to the trigger guard. So no biggie there. Take care aim straight 👌.

Definitely not a “clone” lol most if not all Firearms are historically based on earlier successful models or parts.
