The new BMW iX1 is a relatively affordable EV to lease in Australia as some varieties fall under the luxury car tax. The AWD-only, 230kW iX1 competes with the Tesla Model Y, Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Mercedes-Benz EQA and Volvo XC40 and C40 EVs.

I have seen a couple of them delivered and on the road. Looks way bigger than the previous gen. In Costa Rica where I live, it is about 10k cheaper than Volvo's xc40 recharge AWD, Tesla is not selling here. At 71k USD and fully loaded, it is getting sold a lot here by hundreds. The sucess of the car depends on the price BMW targets on each market. That car looks amazing.

Take note this is using a 350v architecture, and not 400v like most other ev's, you would only get the max 130kW if you are plugged into a 350kW charger. On a regular 50kW charger you'll be glad to even be getting 32kW

Incorrect. It is using 400V architecture and on 50kW charger you can get close to 40kW on iX1 and you can get 130kW on 150kW charger.
