I'm having an issue with this monitor for gaming, so e.g. when gaming in 4k, there's a massive delay/lag when turning around, or just in general moving, even though FPS counter is over 100. as well as developing micro stutters, this reduces is 1080p, however still exists, my 1080p monitor has no issues at all like that, so not sure if it's the monitor issue or it's just meant to be that way Edit : turns out if your mouse polling rate is over 2k it'll do that it's not the monitors fault

You can turn on the max overdrive settings if you want more responsiveness, but it will introduce noticeable ghosting usually on these non-gaming monitors.

Display Port as far as im aware, can carry higher frame rates, for example 144hz, but this monitor only goes up to 60hz. I would say HDMI would be fine for this monitor 👍 Thanks for watching 👍😉

@Jp Vert People buy the new consoles for new features, to play new games with better graphics and performance, not just performance. There's a lot that the Series X and PS5 can do and have that the older consoles can't and don't. 120fps modes aren't even that common and that'll continue. 60fps is the new baseline, hopefully no more 30fps. This monitor has been available for $250-$300 that's what some people's budgets are plus they aren't in the market for a TV, they likely play at a desk and want a monitor if they're on here looking at one.

@Jp Vert that's your opinion but I upgraded from the base Xbox One to a Series X and I love it, not just for the 4K or higher refresh rate which I don't use, a lot more 60fps games, FPS boost to older games, quick resume, way faster load times with the SSD, better graphics overall etc. Not to mention current gen games like Flight Simulator or the upcoming Starfield, Forza Motorsport and Hellblade 2.

Received the RU55 monitor yesterday, it's awesome! I connect my MIBOX3 to HDMI1 and PS5 to HDMI2, but why can't I turn on game mode on the monitor when I use PS5? The monitor no longer allows me to use "game mode" in the "picture" settings, but the MIBOX 3 HDMI1 allowed me to turn on game mode. On PS5 I have of course PC selection, but on MIBOX3 I turn on AV selection. FreeSync and HDR On When Supported are turned on, but why does the monitor not allow the game mode to be turned on, I need an explanation, but I'll be honest, right now the PS5 quality of the image I see on this monitor excites me!

You took 7 minutes of this video to unbox the device and showed us nothing of value apart from "here is a monitor"... well thanks man! thanks for taking 8 minutes to show us a monitor. Then after 16 minutes, there is still nothing of value being shown. No framerate tests, no side by side test, light or dark tests, nothing. How big is you wallet? 🤭🤭 Me, I've got my Ultrawide that does do 75hz, but my graphics card isn't too great, so rarely get 75fps in games at 3440 x 1440. Plus im not really a gamer so not too bothered about the Hertz. If you're a gamer, the higher the hertz the better 👍😀

When I first turned mine on a screen popped up and told me that the selected resolution is 2k but I could change it to 4k. It went away before I could change it, and I can’t seem to find a way to get that screen back up. I went through the all the settings in the menu.

Hi ive had this monitor for a while and i use it for my XBOX ONE X, when i use HDR on the xbox my games go really dim and washed out, like ill be on the menu screen for RDR2 its bright for a few seconds then just goes really dim, ive tried adjusting brightness and other settings that dont become locked but nothing undims the display, Eco save is not on but its seems as though its always locked on in HDR mode, any ideas or fixes ? You shouldn't use HDR with it. It's not capable of the required brightness or contrast. Stick to SDR.

Hi 👋 Thanks for the sub 😉😁 I've just checked the back of my monitor, it does have a headphone port 👍 So as long as you select audio output through HDMI, the headphone port will output audio to your speakers 👍👍

Hard drive? You need to connect either a pc or laptop to it via HDMI 👍 it should auto detect whichever port you've plugged your HDMI in to. You might need to change display settings if on a laptop to use a 2nd display tho. Hope that helps 🤞

I have that on mine too! Some of the options are if you are connected to HDMI 1 or 2, and also Display Port. I found that with my works laptop connected to HDMI port 1 it showed more options, then HDMI showed less options. Yes, you can use speakers with it. In the back is a headphone socket, so you can plug your speakers in there (providing the speakers have a headphone jack) then change you audio through windows to the Samsung monitor through HDMI 👍

I am partitioning the screen 50-50. The screen goes off after 15mins if not in use. Once you wake up the pc the 50-50 partition collapses. Any solution? I have tried with and without Easy Setting Box (the software which comes with the screen). It should remember the screen settings, never happened on Dell QHD.

I've not used that software. But I'm sure there's a setting on the monitor for auto time off. Or if it's your pc that's going to sleep, changes the settings. In Windows 10, it's in setting, then power 👍 I always change everything in there to Never 😉

@@IXISonTech Thanks for your time. I have to keep those changes like the monitor/laptop going off after 30 minutes etc when ideal. Note the laptop is not in sleep mode just screen off only. I think the user should expect the screen settings where it was left means browser in the left hand and some another app on the other 50% of the screen. I was using dell 27 Qhd that use to remember the position of the windows. Never messed anything around. I have also removed the Easy Setting box and manually doing the 50-50 but when I come back all my windows are on a laptop instead of 28 inch screen.

The monitor doesnt control where your windows are placed. If when you turn your monitor back on & the windows have moved, thats the laptop. Try using a different hdmi port on the monitor. I too am working from home, when i go for lunch, then return back at my laptop, turn on the monitor, my windows have moved as well 🙄 But, thats down to work locking the sleep time in windows 10. Countless times ive changed the power settings to never, but it always sleep 😳😔 It's now something i live with on a daily basis....well, Monday to Friday anyway 🤭 Whereas my Samsung Ultrawide doesnt have the same issues. It's like the 4K monitor sleeps the hdmi port, causing the laptop to think it's been disconnected 🤔 Thanks for watching and thanks for your reply 👍😉

It does yes, put your hand at the top of the screen, then your other hand on the bottom of the screen. Push with your top hand and pull with your bottom hand and it will tilt backwards 👍😁

Are you on a PC? If so, make sure the audio is sent through your HDMI and you have either speakers or headphones plugged in to the monitor 👍

No but like i have a 27 inch monitor and i Want a 4K one to make a Dual monitor setup and i Can only find Them in 25 inch that fit what i need Will there be a difference

Have a look on good pc websites, not sure you can get a 4K monitor smaller than 27inch 🤔 Then have a look at the manufacturers for actual dimensions. Hope you find one soon 👍😉

I'm guessing you've tried both HDMI ports? This monitor only goes up to 60hz. If you're on a PC or laptop, have you gone in to the display settings? 👍
