A lot of people don't understand Ministry until they work in it. Its more than a beautiful voice, a wonderful message and just showing up. Or trying to be what everyone expect you to be. One day you wake up and you are feeling things you never felt. A spirit of depression, loneliness, guilty and maybe hopeless. The pain is so overwhelming. After you have ministered to others, you find yourself unable to minister to yourself. Even the people that should have your back isn't nowhere to be found or are useless oblivious to your pain/ struggles. I finally told my I'm in the right place to see the Glory of the Lord. I realized there were things I had to trust the Lord Jesus Christ totally.

Iylania is a powerful woman of God

Not that I see it as a negative,but Iyanla is a priestess in the Yoruba religion from Nigeria and other parts of Africa. She quoted scripture beautifully,but don't assume she's Christian because she does.

@@innerpowerup you don't have to be a Christian to be a woman of God. It amazes me that people claim God is so broad but feel there is only one path. It further amazes me that everything out of Africa is bad but BV white folks say it's right. It's right. Christianity is out of Africa. It was just corrupted.

My 1st sentence States I don't see her religion as a negative. My brother practices Yoruba. My intent was to inform people who might assume that she is Christian because she quotes Bible scripture. I never said she's not a woman of God because she's not Christian. But be honest when you hear woman or man of God you think of a Christian pastor.

innerpowerup she does believe in Jesus. Pay attention to what she says. I love her, but for me to continue watching years ago I needed to see she believes in the Christian Faith. Some things I don’t agree with however, it’s powerful to see her coaching people and being real about it.

Iyanla has said it all our trust, and faith, understanding should only be in Jehovah and his son Jesus Christ not man at no time. Because one thing I do know is Jehovah takes care of his people and the righteous is NEVER LEFT OR FORSAKEN.

Absolutely. I'm a little Disturbed how many people are giving out Miss Van Zandt so much credit for speaking words from the Bible. It's like hearing her say the scriptures is enough. But not even Jesus Took the credit. He said it was written. So in reality if these words are touching people by all means go on jw.org or find your Bible start to read it pray to Jehovah God and he'll give you the clarity you need. And if you ask for him and ask for his Direction he'll give it to you. That's what's great about Jehovah he gives us what we need. We have to give him the respect that he deserves. And not be so caught up in the celebrity

Not at all because we are all imperfect people and fall short of the glory of God daily but I do highly respect her work as a life coach and etc. Be blessed....

@@shrondasmith7544 no you weren't giving more credit to her than Jehovah. I would say a good 75% of the comments are. But that's what Christian them does. They throw Bible quotes at you and you only remember who said the quote you don't remember that their Bible quotes or even bother to know which book of the Bible it's from or who spoke the words.

Matthew 24:24. It's a sad and alarming time when a child of God can't get the help they need within the body of Christ. There is not ONE anointed vessel in all of her circles to give biblical, sound and spiritual counseling? Lord help us!!
