A reasonable list. Himeko only making honorable mention is a bit debatable tho. Also had me laughing at some of the background footage, but maybe that was intentional. "Aventurine has the best shields in the game, and they're permanent!" cut to Feixiao with no shield and deep red health bar. "My GOD does [Robin] do damage!" cut to her dealing 9k damage with her procs 😂

aside the part that Firefly is not even an honorable mention, specially by how good she is, and the way she synergize so well to other break units and in the future, even if her damage isn't the best, she could still be an enabler by applying fire weakness to enemies, while still being very self suficient and surprisely bulky, well, aside it the list is really good, I will probably send to my friend who just started the game and only say "he just forgot to talk about Firefly", but overall great video, and makes me happy that people are recognizing Robin to be that good, I started playing the game because of her and Firefly, started in Robin's banner and got her as my first limited 5*, some people back them told me she isn't that good and is only good to buff critical damage, now some of them are crying that lost 50-50 in her rerun, while I had her since the very start of my account, she + a single good DPS definitively adds up, she buffs just so much ATK and damage delt, I remember using her with Firefly when I only had them, Harmony TB and not really well built chars

I think Firefly is way better F2P unit and should above Acheron and around Rappa place. It's criminal she's not in the top. Her 2nd best LC is the herta shop. Her best support is free and RM is a unit the player should get either way, people can use March 7th as a substitute for those that don't have RM and Gallagher is great 4* that have high chance to rerun along side her. Her weakness implants allow her to brute force most of the content. And break DPS are way easier to build. Acheron don't have a great F2P LC and Pela need the pearl LC or her E4 to generate stack for Acheron without her ultimate.

Ya 100% Rappa is amazing and in her optimal situation she is Better then BH and FF for cost to cycles however if it's not optimal she starts to fall off I mean we can see that alrdy with Hoolay, who FF get get faster cycles at lower cost now imagine a boss without adds and 2.5M+ HP now rappa can't stack, as for AS we have to wait for a round that doesn't favor like the Sunday fight to call her performance in that mode. And in PF she is amazing ( as long as there's IMG and Fire Weakness ) because if both aren't there she struggles a bit but the new PF in 2.7 might benefit her more because of the constant adds.

Thinking about pulling for Aventurine and his LC as a F2P but it'll literally cost me everything I have. Currently, I have no good sustains which is why I was thinking of getting him. However, I don't know how strong Sunday will be so I'm in a weird dilemma where I literally don't know what to do lol. If I get Aventurine, I'll have no more pulls for any other characters for like 2 more banners at least.

Grab Aventurine, skip his LC. That would be my advice, but the LC also depends on the team you're running him with. There's uh.. Trend of the Universal Market? That one works wonders for him in multiple team comps & if you have Gepard's LC by accident, that works out too.

I currently only have Loucha/Gallagher/Lynx as sustainers, (not a single preservation one.) and I would say if u have Gallagher and lynx you are good to go with them, specially with some eidolons of them. I be doing all the end game content since 1.4, would be better to wait for the new preservation/healer as it seems like every new character of these power creeps the one before lol. I wonder how the emanators of those path are gonna be.

as a F2P who has almost this entire list(missing Acheron,Lingsha and Aventurine though am slowly pulling on Aventurine's banner till it goes away) I can certainly say my only disagreement is not having Firefly on the list somewhere,weakness implant and being able to use the Aeon LC besides being able to be used with HMC makes her very nice for a F2P as can help you clear content you probably have no business being able to clear.

Firefly is probably one of the best options for anyone because her entire kit is built like she is the only character fighting, and so she is nearly unkillable unless you purposefully underpower her and play badly.

I agree with your takes. 1) Rappa. I'm new to HSR and she's always on my team. The ability to break even when the elements don't match is perfect for a super break team. 2) Lingsha is my "Gallagher". I joined HSR too late to get Gallagher, so I don't have him but Lingsha took my account to another level. FUA and healing in one. Yes please. 3) It took me a while to understand why Harmony MC was so good, but as soon as I realized it, HMC has never left the team. Rappa, HMC and Lingsha are always on my team and I rotate Himeko, Herta and Serval for the last spot.

Top 10 list for this subject misleading because that implies there are actually 10 existing characters that are worth it for f2ps to actually roll and build. In reality there is only robin and ruan mei . New characters will powercreep everyone else, and they are not worth it by the time they rerun unless you are already close to finishing their team.

A e0s0 Acheron is way harder to play that a e0s0 firefly, if u don’t have e2 Acheron she’s very restrictive, firefly has her best teammates in a literal 4star healer, the free mc and a support that is so universally acclaimed that almost everybody already has her build, Acheron has almost no good f2p cones (boundless choreo is gacha gated) all in all Acheron takes way more investment to make her shine in the same level a s0e0 firefly with ruanmei and harmony mc

Acheron without JQ or her LC is doable, it just takes a little longer to build her ult, but even outside of that her team can still do okay damage.

I was clearing my back logs of SU. I tried SU-SD with Dan IL & Robin with Prop path, I must say that path resonance is the most busted in SU (haven't played Nihilty & Erudition yet). Using the path res buff on Dan with Robin's Ult, I was getting turns back to back with no sp worries. I seriously now want Prop path to be made in future, that's gonna be busted.

honestly acheron over firefly is a little insane. e0s0 acheron is VERY very sucky. there isnt a single good f2p cone for her cause gnsw and choreo are both gacha gated and you need s5 just for it to be 30% less than her sig. firefly has aeon, and her teammates consist of a very universal support, a free unit, and a 4 star (that was free) compared to acheron’s better options

I'll never understand the notion that limited sustains are supposed to be good for f2p players and it's always content creators who aren't f2p that try to sell this idea. In a game where clear speed is everything for end game it's very expensive to invest your jades into limited sustains that provide lesser damage than dps characters ( dps needed for fast clears) in exchange for more survivability (survivability not needed for fast clears) limited sustains are good for dolphin type players who have high invested teams and can afford any characters they want + most likely use auto play i'll at least give you some props for only including one such character and not putting him crazily high (i've seen other content creators consider him to be the best f2p character) i think other than that the list is good but i find that there is a lack of tingyun with bronya being so highly rated

Depends where you are in your progression, when I was still with very limited characters and still progressing through the story it was night and day after I got Fu Xuan and she is not even as broken as any of the others premium sustains, not being able to survive or struggling to kill something because I had to constantly run a healer + someone tanking, mostly fire MC, was really hard. Unless you get early a very universal busted DPS with the team to make it work IMO at least 1 good sustain will make everything easier for you to progress.

2 limited sustains is for sure the ideal scenario as a F2P but chasing sustains beyond that is outside the F2P range,however ones like Aventurine and Lingsha specifically that not only sustain but also contribute to the teams damage one way or another is very much worth considering whenever the banner placement timing is best for someone even as a F2P if have the teams they give extra contributions to.

I'd say one or the other. Lingsha is far more universal though, you can slap her in FuA, Break, even with Acheron (with the lightcone though). Lingsha will not heal servants either so they are tied on that. Only the summoner can heal as of right now.

I think you overlooked some characters that are easy to get and pretty useful like clara she's not the best DPS but she is very F2P friendly and can still comfortably clear content . Or Xueyi who is a little hard to build but you can get her for free . And lastly Herta which you can also get for free and is really really good in pure fiction .

Pela and Himeko as honourable mentions - totally agree, free plug in almost every team and free 30k in one side of PF. Mei - L number one. Without Gaymiko - she's unplayable(sig is whatever at this point). Skippa - L number two. Without sig - forget about comfort. Clearing content tailor made for her - not a big accomplishment, every new character does that. And in the future she will require Ting 2.0 and Fraud to function, it will be worse then Acheron situation. Fei - whatever. March 8 - rare lyo W. If you put TopAss here - it would be another L, for obvious reasons. Fraud - another L. 4* who will be back in one month - isn't free, but Limited 5* who we'll not see in 6 month - totally free, yeah, brain damage check. And she's not much better in the first place, outside of PF. Aven - whatever. Bronya - whatever. HMC - whatever. RM and Robin - whatever as well. And stop begging for likes and subs. If your content good enough - you will get them automatically. Apparently, you have alot of work to do.

I think the only one I disagree with is the Rappa for 2 reasons. 1, yes Rappa is easy to play. Firefly is brain dead easy to play. To the point where it is boring, she is just that simple. But most importantly 2, Firefly provides a strong utility. Yes Rappa currently beats end game since everything is conveniently weak to Imaginary or Fire(for Lingsha/Galli.) Firefly...doesnt care about element. Her tech plus skill lets players bypass any elemental barrier for a floor in end game. That is very valuable. Its basically a better Silverwolf, which used to be praised as an amazing unit for f2p for that very reason. And her elemental implant was on 1 character with RNG. Firefly is guaranteed and hits the whole enemy on technique. Because of that, I would give the edge to Firefly for that utility. I think Rappa is technically stronger and more fun, but damage and fun isn't everything. All the other spots though I agree with. People think Bronya is dead; she aint. Still a solid character

I've been seeing a few players make claims like these, but I haven't experienced that myself on multiple F2P accounts when testing. All of it is false (from my experience), but maybe I'm missing something. Is there something you guys are doing that makes these characters way worse for you as F2P compared to myself or others who have the opposite feeling? Maybe there's a new factor I'm unaware of.

@Iyoverse so let's say for Acheron she's very lightcone dependent just to make her more comfy. We see content is getting harder more hp every patch. Acheron needs people who can give her stacks fast so she can use her ultimate. One person who can do this is Jiaqiou which is f2p friendly but not easy to build. Apart from Jiaqiou is Silverwolf not many people have Silverwolf so there's that. Either those 2 with Pela. The rest of the nihility units are ass with her that's is lowering Acheron's value as a unit especially if these f2ps wanna use her for a long time. She's good in every single mode but if you don't have certain characters for her then the value diminish. Rappa without lc have energy issues one thing I've noticed with her hence why the lightcone is a must for that extra energy and av etc. If you want Rappa to do well in future content especially against other weaknesses you're gonna need to pull Fox lady. Rappa is very similar to Acheron because of the stacks she have from breaking and Fox lady helps with that. Once again if you don't have Ruan Mei then well..eidolons will have to do + hmc. Taking into account both of their teams cost, the average f2ps won't get this much. I do get it's nice to pick them up if you want a dps and build another team but is it worth it in the long run for Acheron? Who knows. Thinking about everyone being e0s0 except Acheron and Rappa, future stuff etc I think Acheron deserves to be above Rappa in terms of f2p friendly and flexibility. That's just my opinion.

@@simmereenplays I don’t get the Acheron part since this whole argument assumes we’d never get better options than jiaqiou for her in the future like genuinely think abt acherons best team and compare them to feixios best team i think it’s safe to say robin is leagues above jiaqiou aventurine is a cope synergy with Acheron due to it being entirely based off a lightcone and her 3rd best slot goes to a completely outdated 4 star? yet Acheron still keeps up despite her team being so much worse overall all this to say Acheron is far from falling off and her being raiden mei I don’t think it’s hard to believe better nihilty options come later down the line as Acheron is far from complete she only has 1 of the 3 pieces to her puzzle after all (and i don’t think she will ever be TOP of the meta again but she will definitely remain relevant)

Top 3 IMO for a f2p to have or get is 3. Ruan Mei (she works everywhere and can be everywhere) 2. Robin (just like ruan mei but that 100% action forward on all units is crazy) 1. Aventurine. I believe Aventurine to be THE best character in all of hsr. (Keeps you from taking dmg, like you never die with him, sp positive, grants sp constantly so sp positive even at e0, as long as he keeps follow up attacking, can fit in loads of teams, crit, dot, hypercarry, dual dps, break, pure fiction, MoC, FuA, the only team he can't really go in is with like a team with blade, hes VERY easy to build and doesn't need his' lc at all, just build him as your only sustain and you survive every content in the game)
