2024 IYT UPDATE! IYT increases its grants to 1000€/month which is amazing. In 2022 it was 900€/month. So you can adapt the options I've explained in the video with the new amount for your exact calculation😊Good luck!

Hi Kak Meutia. As someone planning to pursue it next year, your video has been incredibly insightful! For those interested in the PSSD major at Polimo, could you share more about the major, your experience in applying (I've heard it requires prior application), and maybe even a glimpse of your portfolio? Best of luck with university life, and thank you for sharing your experiences! 💖

Hi, Its a nice video, got an idea about the expenses too. I got the IYT 2024-25. It is mentioned that we need to inform the committee every time I move out of the country. How was your experience regarding this? Also, they mentioned that the internship is unpaid, is there any chance we can look for paid internships? will the paid or unpaid thing depend on which company we apply or is it a whole government regulation thing that it is unpaid? Thank you in advance
@meutiarahmadina3 ай бұрын
Thank you, I'm glad you find this video helpful! Congratulations for getting the IYT this year!! Regarding the mobility abroad, I don't have any experience for this as I only travel abroad for holidays and not for long-term periods such as internship abroad. If in doubt, you can contact the IYT committee for more information. For the second question, yes you can find and take paid internships because that was my case. It depends on the company, as far as i know the gov only regulates the maximum amount you can earn as an intern which is 1000 euros/month. Goodluck!!

Hi Meutia :) Thank you for your video, it really helped me. I'm a winner of the IYT 2024/2025 Scholarship, and I have a question that the IYT committee has not answered yet, I hope you can help me... Do we have to make reports of what we are spending and send them to the IYT committee every month? Also, can we save the Money that we didn't spend in one month and save it for the next one?
@meutiarahmadina2 ай бұрын
Hello, thank you for watching my video, I'm glad you find it helpful! No we don't need to make reports on our spending and yes we can definitely save the money we don't spend in a month. Basically, they just transfer you the money every end of 3 months and you're free to manage your finances according to your needs. Congratulations for being an IYT awardee and goodluck for your upcoming studies!

Hi Meutia, For studies in Italy, what kind of original documents do we need to bring (aside from the ones explicitly stated like passport, etc)? Do we also need to bring original academic & civil documents (bachelor degree, transcript, birth certificate)?
@meutiarahmadina3 ай бұрын
Hi! Yes I brought all of my original academic and civil documents as well just in case. But so far, after 2 years and having finished my master's, I didn't have to use them. I think it also depends with certain scholarships requirements (example: DSU, etc). I would say if possible, bring all of them because it might be tricky to send them from your home country if you need them

Hi Dina, Thank you for your perfect information about IYT. I am about 26 years old and I want to apply for IYT scholarship but i don't know which university I should choose and I've not gotten any admission yet. do you think it is possible to apply for IYT before applying to the university or not? we should chose university and apply for it at first?
@meutiarahmadina9 ай бұрын
Hi! Thank you, I'm happy that my video is helpful for you! Yes you can still apply if you have not gotten any admission yet, that was my case because I applied to the second call in Polimi. However you must apply to the university first before you submit your application to IYT. Then after your submission, you also inform the university that you are an IYT applicant, so they know too. I would recommend for you to take your time to know which university and master's programs you'd like to do, if you've decided and applied to that uni before the IYT deadline and you have the time to prepare the submission materials, I would definitely encourage you to apply for this scholarship😊

how many number of scholarship does IYT scholarship provide every year?
@meutiarahmadina8 ай бұрын
Hi! I don't know the average number, but in my batch (2021) there are 65 total awardees from 17 countries. If all are divided equally, there should be about 3-4 awardees per country. And since there are 3 IYT awardees from Indonesia that I know, then I think the estimation should be correct. Good luck!!

Hi, i wanna ask like is it possible to do part time work in there like in the restaurant or something?
@meutiarahmadina3 ай бұрын
Hi! Yes it is possible but you usually need to have certain level of Italian language proficiency (depends on the employer, the required levels can range from A2 to B2). I have seen some international students working part-time in an ice cream shop for example. Another alternative to earn extra money is through paid internship too

Hello Meutia, I got admitted from polimilano and applied for IYT scholarship. What do they consider for scholarship? Only gpa or also looking for any other skills like technical and working experience etc.?
@meutiarahmadina8 ай бұрын
Hello! First of all, congratulations for getting admitted to Polimi and submitting your application for IYT! Unfortunately there is no exact information on how the IYT committee evaluates our applications. But from what I gathered from other awardees and personal observation, IYT puts a significant emphasis on the essay video. Then both GPA and CV come next. My GPA was 3.4 out of 4.0 so a little above average but not outstanding I would say. For skills and work experiences in your CV, I think having work experience helps to explain your motivation to pursue a specific master's and IYT, but if you're a freshgrad you can also reflect on your bachelors study experience/internship/competitions/other experiences. I know several awardees who are in different spectrums for the GPA and experiences part so it really varies. Goodluck!!

Hey i have a question and it would be very helpful if you answer. It says on the website that we cant get regional italian scholarship if we apply for IYT scholarship. So i wanted to ask we can apply for both right? And we dont get this sone we can apply for that one(regional) right??? Or i cant apply for regional scholarship if i apply for this one. Please answer ❤
@meutiarahmadina8 ай бұрын
Hi! Yes you can apply to both at the same time. But if you get accepted to both, then you must choose only one of them because double funding is not allowed. Back then I also prepared the documents to apply for DSU while waiting for the results of IYT, but once I got accepted to IYT I stopped my preparation to apply for DSU. But the DSU deadline was also some months afterwards so their application process didn't overlap at that time. Goodluck!

Will they take care of my visa? Should I just wait till they announce the winners?
@meutiarahmadina7 ай бұрын
Hi! No you will need to take care of your student visa yourself. For me I started applying for my student visa on May, before the IYT result on July because I got admitted to Polimi on April and I planned that if I didn't get IYT/Maeci, I would apply for DSU. So if you already got accepted to an italian university and you're prepared with the scholarship alternatives, I would encourage you to start applying for the visa from now because it's quite a time consuming process. But if you're still unsure, then maybe it is better to wait. Goodluck!!

But you can contact the Uni Italia from the Italian embassy in your country, in my case they are super helpful in guiding me and all other indonesian students going to Italy with our visa applications. So if you're in doubt maybe you can ask them for advice since they should know the timeline for the visa process in your country

@@meutiarahmadina hello Dina. So I was awarded IYT. Do you know when they will give the first instalment? Also, what's a good Italian bank for international students? no/little fees and English-speaking staff
@meutiarahmadina3 ай бұрын
@@emt4921 Heyy congratulations for getting the IYT scholarship! They will give the first installment in December. That is why in minute 10:04 I mentioned about having to prepare the money for the first 4 months in Italy (for Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec). I use Intesa Sanpaolo and it's been really good so far. It's the biggest bank in Italy and so far no monthly fee. For the staffs, it depends on your luck to be honest. I got lucky that the manager that handles my account spoke some English but I did try to speak Italian at first. So you still need to learn some basic Italian at least

@@_ZiXin_ yes don't worry you won't do all of them at the same time. I finished the language course in the first semester and internship in the third semester so they didn't overlap. Time wise it's quite manageable, I managed to fit extracurricular activities, freelance work and travels in between too. For the last question, I'm sorry this might be too late to answer but I uploaded my video for a reference and I think just be authentic and explain your true motivation for the studying in Italy with the IYT scholarship.
