CJI is doing it right. Big stakes, big matchups and free on youtube. Thats how you grow the sport.

To say that 88kg was not affected is straight up not true. Matheus Diniz (former 88kg champ), Lucas Barbosa (last year’s 88kg silver medalist), Tye Ruotuolo (lost 1st round in 2022 but bronzed in the absolute while at 88kg and also you just competed against at ONE), Eoghan oflanagan (88kg breakout performance who made it to placed 4th after losing to bodoni and vagner) all moved over. So come on…

Kudos Izaak ... doing Aussies proud. You're a breath of fresh air on the scene - staying away from the shite-talking - and letting your skill and humility do the talking. Will be rooting for you. Wishing you the very best.

Much respect to Nolf, but it would be an absolute INSANE run for him to win the bracket. Tye is his first match, oh boy is that gonna be a barn burner. If he beats Tye, my hat off to him. But I’m learning towards Tye.

What made and still makes ADCC truly cool, is the thought that you are finding the best grappler on the planet in each weight class. The size of the brackets, the fact anyone can join… I hope CJI goes to the trials format and anyone can enter! Then we are all in for a million!!

You guys mentioned that you structure your training so that you don’t overtrain. Can you expand on how training is structured? Speaking as a jiu-jitsu player that habitually overtrains.

Jiu-jitsu is a MUCH younger sport... Most of the issues are down to that, surprised no one said that.

Bo please do the next ADCC. You can even do the ADCC Opens which are held every other month to get experience in the rules. Everyone would be hyped to see you at ADCC wrestlers and MMA fighters have a history of doing pretty good at the event. Also do Combat Jui Jitsu, Eddie Bravo's the man
@adelmasto2 ай бұрын
UFC wouldn’t allow him for a second to compete in Adcc because of heel Hooks and risk of injury. Not possible
@Macktube2 ай бұрын
@adelmasto They've let other athletes compete at grappling events before, so it's not out of the question. They've even competed at Quintet, which is several matches in in one night
@adelmasto2 ай бұрын
@@Macktube yes it is out of the question because at that quintet cub Swanson blew his knee out now when a ufc fighter does an event like that they modify the rules. Adcc won’t modify the rules for anyone

@@Macktube yes I do know that. The Olympics of no gi grappling isn’t going to switch up their rules to accommodate one person. A super fight on a UFC fight pass invitational makes more sense
