One fun thing against newer players is to neutral b, they'll shield, then dash attack. Don't let it turn into a habit, but you'll send them flying.

You can actually keep holding b then slide to hit a to cancel it just in front of you and is the fastest way to deal with counters. Just make sure you're spaced correctly because it's not a true cancel

Just in case you need it I made a quick one, but it's pretty simple: You set up your controls with A+B smash on, then when using Down special you can press A at any time to cancel it far sooner than if you are just trying to hit B twice or A right after B.

It feels weird to know I have been around for 4 smash games now. I wasn't around for the original but I was alive when melee was released and grew up on brawl. After playing 4 and ultimate I feel kinda honoured to see four out of the five of these games grow up alongside me and later be held of hall of fame. And yet after all of this time it is only until ultimate did I find my main. I immediately fell in love with piranha the moment I saw it their reveal.

At starting percents you can up throw to neutral b. Will beat most aggressive airdodges, and can chase airdodges and jumps with the spikeball. Not perfect but a decent mixup that that is very rewarding if it works.

I honestly feel like the reason I do so well is because people don’t realize how strong this character is specifically in these setups you can’t challenge plant from the air, all moves send either at an angle up or straight up and if you’re offstage it’s incredibly hard to get back I always play at the ledge or try to be underneath as this character most of my kills are either sneaky or you see them coming and really can’t do anything about it but yes this plant can bait a lot and quite successfully with an array or moves not just neutral B also if the plant isn’t shielding never try to grab her lol
