I've gone an almost full 360 with regard to plugins. Of course in the beginning I only had the stock plugins (of Logic Pro). Then I got a bunch of plugins (including Ozone). Now I'm back to using almost only stock plugins with only couple of exceptions - Soothe2, NeoVerb, and Tonal Balance Control. And I'd say Soothe2 is the only one that really matters.

I got into izotope when ozone 8 released. over the years i got most of them and they are used pretty often. i upgraded, when ozone 9 came out but since then i really didn't feel the need to upgrade anymore. the suite already does everything it needs to in almost any scenario. they are simply adding features to legitimize the updates and i am not sure how to feel about it. i will consider when the scaling actually scales the ui

One of the best and most honest reviews about O11, definitely the funniest and most entertaining on KZbin. I have Ozone 11. I upgraded the Music Production Suite, which I always do, and got a good deal for the plugins included, although I don't use all of them. Not only that, but I really love Ozone 11, it makes mastering easy for me with all the tools in one plugin.

still with ozone 9 standard; honestly I use mostly the master assistant; it provides decent results and if you're in a hurry it's great. I'll usually maybe add an exciter and imager (the imager can go on individual tracks though; it's a free tool). It's a bit hard to see a clear benefit from upgrading though, maybe I'll wait one of those crazy deals they do on black friday. Advanced version price is nuts; I'll get by without the clarity module. also I do get a deal on standard; not on advanced

I already have those Fabfilter plugins you mentioned, so I am probably not the target audience for izotope. Like you said lowend focus was a mid product, because that truly should have been addressed in the mixing phase by sculpting specific frequencies of each instrument.

I've used Gulfoss for curve shaping by side chaining pink noise (or brown, or 4.5 or whatever). Works well.

I bought advanced 9 then I got standard 10 in Komplete. The upgrade to 11 is now £99 but you just know 12 is around the corner with another £150 upgrade. I’m kinda seeing through Ozone. I think I’m ready to do it all manually and learn that way.

I felt Ozone 10 was a depressing release. I thing Ozone 11 follows along after one day of using it. You sound like Billy Bob Thornton which is an extreme plus in my book. I love your style! "Clarity" did what I perceive as the effect those color blind glasses have on people. Every element has a small border frequency wise to the element next to it. It creates a much more distinct sound stage and gives the ability to really hear what you are focusing on that much easier.

I've bought the Music Production Bundle 5.2. Then they shipped the Music Production Bundle 6 with the new Ozone and Nectar. I had to pay 49$ to upgrade, which I find reasonable. But, indeed, I found it odd that at the same moment, the upgrade of just Ozone was 199... So, with the bundle, not only I get all the upgrades, but it's way cheaper. ;) It's probably a bug though

As an Izotope master, which would you recommend? RX10 or Nectar 4 for Voice work? Just voice. Narration, singing, yelling, character, etc. RX10 has the ability to find actual words in the audio, but Nectar has noise removal. I could not find noise removal in RX10.

I bought the Ozone 9 some years ago. After a while I just used the master assistant for the pupose of using ONLY the dynamic EQ find the resonnances. Maybe I`ll buy the "Reso" plugin from Mastering The Mix, then I won`t use Ozone at all 😂
