Where can you get the Beall buff motors like those ones? I have been using a regular buffing wheel and now I am realizing that it is too fast and I should use a Beall system.

The motors that I use are 3 phase with a variable speed controller.

Thanks for the great video J.! Really is a fantastic resource for getting the right setup at the next level. If you happen to see this I am curious if you can give a rec'd on a good all around motor to go with and what var speed controller you use? BTW, got to sit next to you at the recent 2019 Vegas West Coast Pipe Show dinner and really appreciated the great conversation and open advice on pipe making. Happy smokes.

I'm starting to build my shop, Jeff. Where can I buy this items?
@jalanpipes2 жыл бұрын
unfortunately I am sold out and don't have immediate plans to restock. Selling tools takes a lot of time...and I just don't have enough of it.

What rmp are you running? I have my French wheel on a 6” bench grinder but it’s only one speed. I think it’s too fast the the fold over part keeps flying up.

I use variable speed motors. Usually 200-1500rpm depending on what I'm doing.

Hi, does the glue come off easily when you want to replace a sandpaper disc?
@jalanpipes10 жыл бұрын
Yes, the general purpose adhesive comes of pretty easily. You could even use a lighter adhesive if you prefer. Essentially, the backing plate does the heavy holding. The adhesive is there to be sure that the paper pulls tightly and stays in place as you attach the back plate.

I wAnt to order one. But of a newb. Any reason I should get 4" over 6" model? Seems bigger would be better. Hope someone replies. WAnt to order now.

I prefer 6" for 120gr. I use the smaller disks for 220 & 400
