Crazy man. Worst part for me is it seems Cole's taking it VERY personally. Basically by admitting he didn't want to take it down a personal route, he ended up just lying about stuff cause he wasn't creative enough to come up with competative responses. All this after puffing his chest out begging for competitors scattered over years of guest verses.

I’m so confused why you are acting like Cole doing exactly this isn’t 100% who he is and he’s always been. Look how the whole lil pump thing played out, pump disrespected Cole constantly and it ended with Cole sitting pump down and giving him game in an interview. If we are talking about the fact that Cole dipped his toe in the water with 7 minute and then bowed out, I completely understand and agree with that move being whack , but acting like Cole NEEDS to hop in the ring with Kendrick to prove something is corny as f. The cope that the dude on the left is putting off is pretty OD. I don’t dislike J Cole. I think he’s insanely talented and, in the last few years, has stepped up his own game. He should be considered as one of the best. But he can never be number one. He’s been taking the stance that he’s the best. If you are, you can’t drop music where that’s the case and go and hide when the one dude who can challenge you comes outside and says, hold on, I’m not gone yet. Until Kendrick hangs it up, he is the best, period. Not Cole(cuz he’s scared), not Drake(cuz he’s scared). Drake can, maybe do some damage here. This is clown shoes funny shit. J Cole is exactly what’s wrong with these younger gen fans. I don’t care that Cole is the best until he’s challenged, or that Drake has ghostwriters, not one of them cats can run a fade? Trash. @kokoBuSiLiCa9 ай бұрын
I had an argument with a number of people that were attacking J.Cole for what he did. We gotta understand that what he did is actually the most humble and authentic move I've ever seen from a rapper at the top. I get it that a regular fan will look down on this move, however as a person that actually writes rap for 15+ years, I gotta say that what Cole did is HARDER than any diss track that he would have delivered. The man just doesn't want to shoot on other people without a deeper point, the man is enlightened and is in touch with his ego which he can actually control this time. Hip hop is in a loss with Cole's move, I won't argue that and I do understand the perspective of any regular fan that would go after Cole, however, people need to understand the other perspective as well, the artist perspective. I see this move as the most honest and authentic move an artist at the top has ever made. It's easy to have a bloated ego and fake-confidence, especially in hip-hop, but it's a bit harder to have self-awareness and to choose the right path.
