I saw the Southern Cross for the first time while at the wheel of the tall ship Europa as we sailed the Drake Passage to Antarctica. I always loved this song but love it even more now after that.

I was introduced to The Great Jimmy B during Covid when I started jogging after my heart operation and listened to Come Monday on repeat over and over again and again never stopped. Now 4 years later when I jog - here come Jimmy and ofcourse Margarita on repeat …… RIP Jimmy B my idol

Stephen stills wrote it and CSN made it iconic. Love Jimmy and he admitted it wasn't his but he put his spin on it. Miss his fabulous energy knowing him decades ago..a generous happy man..and he laughed when I told him their version was the best. We agreed that was the beauty of music. J D Souther was robbed of modt of the credit of his massive collection of songwriting. Glad to see he's still on the big stage.

I do too! It was just CSN then as Young was out and David Crosby was barely back in. Stephen Stills and Graham Nash recorded the vocals, and David Crosby did perform the song with CSN at subsequent concerts. Cheers!
