The reverb panning technique is an advanced technique. Great job on that man! Almost forgot. I used to give my horns, sirens and sfx stabs a little extra sauce on the MPC 5000 by recording in panning automation (to make the sound appear like it's coming from one side to the other) and then recording that part in with volume automation (if I wanted the sound to come from front to back or vice-versa). I'm not sure if the 2000xl will record real-time automation but that's one of the things I did a lot on 5000 way back in the day.

appreciate that man as always thank you... i dont have my x working yet but its in the effects, go into the air reverb and delay and play with the presets and then tweak them out... take some time to manipulate them and learn what each knob does and. youll have your own custom reverb and youll be able to save the settings so you can load it up into other beats

Im currently usin a daw using digital samples chopping that way but am looking into getting a turntable to crate dig for samples...and one of my options is a stanton stx, can scratch right out the box...thought itd be cool for intros / hooks / outros etc
@dubsbangermusic9 ай бұрын
i havent cuz i dont own any hip hop vinyls... which is weird to hear me say now that i think of it... you can get serato for cuts cuz you can just upload the audio track... now with stem seperation you can grab any acapella you want which is dope... but yeah man thats dope af i remember getting my first turntable and buying vinyl i was obsessed!!! thats a very good idea though let me know how it turns out

Respect In Progress. So, do you really keep the click going while you record every track normally, or is that just for the video? I just ask because I probably turn it off as soon as I get 1 or 2 elements going. Especially like before I would do a bass line (if that was coming after the drums were already done which it usually does for me). If you do, do you find that helps?
