I can picture Dilla, sitting there..headphones on..nodding his head whilst staring through a window. Watching the trees blow in the wind and thinking of the name for this beat. He had that connection like a classical composer, gave his beats deep emotion. RIP

he was in a basement with no windows and the sample gave him the name. Sorry to destroy that for you :) i dont think he took the time to give his beats a proper title ( not that they are bad tho) as you can probably tell from the beat called "ahmad impresses me" . To be honest giving your track a name is the most unimportant part of making beats. The music does not make everybody feel the same way

Classic Dilla Dog track with that neck snappin snare and bouncy basline. I swear on everything I love I miss Dilla. I just wish I could've been able to just sit in on one of his beat-making sessions, I can only imagine the knowledge. His musical mind was just phenominal and nothing short of genius.....Thank you for blessing us man, you are deeply missed.

The siren calls, the snare breaks your neck, bassline soothes the pain, now where its at? The soul baby, gotta let it take control baby, think outside the box and break the mold baby, and while fingers dance over the keys, my cool lyrical breeze puts your mind at ease.

Thank you my good man! I agree with you about a lot of the negativity that goes on here. Everyone is so quick to pull that trigger on the gun and fire off at the mouth nowadays. If we all just take a little time out of our day, play some Dilla or any other good music, we would probably handle problems differently. More peacefully. And yes, I hope my son grows up with music in his soul the way that it's embedded in mine! Stay up bro! Peace!

How are you going to tell me it "never happened" when my son observes first hand, me on the MPC sampling and programing beats? Come on homie, I don't fake the funk. You shouldn't either.
