to be fair he probably started with a faint idea and used his own personal experiences to bring color to the characters. While this sounds simple to do it takes a lot of creativity and commitment to actually create and produce. He's definitely good.

Honestly it’s crazy, how people were laughing irl in this vid, when typically when creators pitch shows, all the executives watching don’t/can’t laugh when getting pitched. So he’s just there giving out all this energy to a quiet crowd. JG is amazing.

This isn't an actual first pitch though. They all know how successful the show was and are probably fans themselves. If it was an actual pitch they'd have to actually be analyzing everything and weighing the good versus bad parts of whatever's being pitched; instead there's literally 0 pressure and nothing for the producers to actually think about. I guarantee the producers weren't laughing like that when he first pitched this episode.
