So I've recently learned that his shows are just exaggerated stories of the creators life. Regular show is his college years (he's Mordecai) and the new show called Close Enough is him as an adult. This short proves the character that sounds like Mordecai looks just like the main Character from Close Enough, then he trips and turns into the bird. It all makes sense now. (And as a show standpoint, regular show, and close enough are in the same universe, i wouldn't doubt this is also)
