Beautiful performance! This is certainly how this concerto would have sounded to Haydn and his audience. Thanks for sharing this!

Bravo! Virtuosic and emotional, beautiful performance. And finally on a proper instrument :) It's inspiring for me to hear technical work like that on a baroque cello, since most of the time i'm playing the usual Basso Continuo stuff. Thank you for posting this!

How tall is the cellist? That cello looks tiny against his frame.

Comparing an Early Music approach to Haydn with a romanticized performance is like comparing figure skating with ice hockey. I don’t blame you not liking it, but it appears that you can not even tell the difference between the two. Btw, looking at your videos, I would be a bit careful throwing rocks…

Check out MY serious orchestra our family. Joanne philpot cello. I quit way early. If you wanna be a asshole that's your choice. But I say what I think!" Not out to win comps and exams anymore. I wish I had NOT quit and had a family..But who ever said I'm good!! All YOU can't take IS critism and if you are the one playing this impossibly difficult piece...Do it justice!!!!

Mr. Bartussek's performance was amazing to me. I don't think lots of vibrato fits this kind of music, I feel the amount of vibrato used was spot on. I also like Jackie's or Rostropovich's version, but they play them in a veeeeeery romantic style, but this is fully classical period! I think Haydn would be very pleased by hearing this interpretation, I'm pretty sure he might intended it to sound like this. Well done, Mr. Bartussek. Hats off. 👏👏🎉
