He is actually bringing back the 80s/90s gangster punk grunge rock style back even though it’s risky and I haven’t heard this type of style in a while also this isn’t even his title song his title song and album is coming at July 15th. (Also his “screams” etc is pretty muted because it feels like he is trapped in a box) this is a type of genre some people like and some people dont but you have to say Jhope killed this genre. Also you should react to RM (another bts member) song- JOKE

The whole hip hop rap rock elements reminds me a lot of Linkin Park. This was an awesome surprise from JHope and I can’t wait to see what else he’s gonna show us with his album.

I'm army and no offense to the other commenters but MORE is nothing like anything BTS as a group has done. Even though Dionysus has rock elements it's not a a full "grunge/hip hop/rock" song. Truly blown away by this song!!! There are some fight club parallels (visually AND Jack Moore/Jack in the Box/MORE) and I love how the chorus and x-ray parts sound slightly muffled like its his boxed up self yelling from inside the box. He wants out!!!

J-Hope released a solo mixtape called Hope World back in 2018 so this isn't necessarily his first solo venture, it's just going to be the first official solo album from J-Hope. Every member of BTS has had solo songs on BTS albums and separate from BTS and J-Hope, Suga aka Agust D, and RM all have done solo mixtapes.

I've always said the 2 genres that mix well together are Hip Hop and Rock, this song was just another example of how well it works together. I like how this is mixing old and new J-hope. J- hope is always going to kill an old school Hip- Hop beat, and you add the gritty/ grunge rock guitars and drums and its a masterpiece. This isn't J-hope's first solo music he has an ep called Hope world and he did a song with Becky G called Chicken Noodle Soup.

Well, guess you should react to one of BTS's latest songs that came out couple weeks ago called "BTS - Run BTS" and then we talk about what BTS does and does not ;) Oh course JHope's MORE chorus is harder but saying that "BTS never combined rock and hiphop it's just not right. (not to mention some of their early songs) And yeah, i personally LOVE this side of Jhope and cant wait to see what the rest of the album gonna sound like!!

i understand what youre saying but respectfully you have no seen even 1% of bts discography to even say its not something bts would do. they actually have done a rap/rock song before a few of them actually this is heaviest any of them have gone but there are traces of it in bts discography because bts does NOT have a genre. here are some examples of songs with rock elements and rapping : bts - boy in luv bts - dionysus bts - ma city bts - boyz with fun bts - attack on bts bts - persona rm - throw away agust d - burn it again i agreed with everything you said until you said its not something bts can do or its definitely not a bts song cause bts have over 300+ songs and they cross many genres and do many genre blends. though MORE is the heaviest any of them have gone besides agust d burn it was a little on the heavy side but still not as much as more is.

4:57 “this is not what bts would do” with all due to respect I don’t think you even heard that many BTS songs they done multiple rock style songs before like “Dionysus” and the song “RUN BTS” and then songs that have jazz like “House of card” and V ( a member of bts) song called “Singularity” and V is the member that likes a lot of jazz and played saxophone for 8 years and then there is suga and RM who are hip hop base and then jungkook Jimin who do more pop songs and Jin do more OST movie songs V also do OST movie songs and all members have songs with different style. RM and Suga also written songs for different artist in different genres and they have songs they openly made fun of their former impeached president in the song “am I wrong” and songs criticise the education system and the “Boomers mindset” And you can’t really say what BTS are when you haven’t even touch 10 percent of their songs
