Hobi released Arson (Rock ver.) on Soundclound for festa 2023 and the version with a live band at Lollapalooza is pure fire I don't remember much about the Lore but sometimes we theorize the origin of the fire in BTS, I don't know if you remember the hooded man in the Fire Mv or the explosion in Mic Drop, the place is similar to the Mic Drop Mv or how the box and the key are key in the More MV, which seems to be a box whose inside is the entire Fake Love MV, these are just theories but it's something that drives me crazy🤐

This song is basically his dreams, his goal, his success is all “done” his goals in life he already achieved so he is asking himself if he “should put out the fire or burn even brighter” and also the lyrics “if anyone ask me “right I lit the fire” meaning yes he started this himself/ wanted this/ lit the fire of his popularity but now he can end it if he wants and the lyrics talk about “leaving when there is still applause” is good too rather than slowly losing popularity because eventually nothing last forever so leaving with a bang or on a high note is good too since he already achieved more than what he and bts’ goal originally is so in a sense he is “done” he already achieved all but he is asking himself should he just stop now or “burn even brighter” and he kind of answered his own question with the song you listened before “more” where he said “it is still not enough” “My work makes me breathe, so I want more” he found his answer: to “burn even brighter”

Viewed from a slightly different perspective, the crossroads (at the time the song was written) could have been between continuing to climb at the breakneck speed they were or stepping down from that runaway train of chasing bigger and bigger “succe$$” that is expected of artists at their level (strike while the iron is hot) and be pleased with what they have already achieved. In “More” he’s decided he can’t “breathe” without performing so he wants more of that but the accolades he may/may not keep accumulating are irrelevant. Like he/BTS have decided to stop accelerating and orbit the 🌍 indefinitely instead of pushing on to find out how many other celestial objects they can reach and how fast.

Everything burning in the video was real. When you get to watch his vlog preparing for the album, you'll see how they designed the clothes and even his make up and everything. If you read the lyrics it says "choose what? Do I put out the fire or burn even brighter" and so at the end, I think he chose to burn brighter hence him being on fire at the end

HAPPY HOBI WEEK!! xen is always killing me with those edits ... I just wanted to say about Hobi cursing, it's not just cursing for cursing, cursing has been a big debate in kpop because it is extremely looked down upon by some, and it stems from a big problem of infantilization/angelization of the idols. So everytime BTS curses, I'm so happy just because it screams "I'm an adult and an artist, I use the words I want to express myself, I won't water down for mass consumption", and that's a freedom that is spreading and I love that for Kpop (ps: not a diss about your family friendly policy, it is very different, just thought you probably don't know about this aspect)

I see the fire that was inside of Jay (as ARMY were calling him) representing his passion, and that he has embraced it. The fact that he did his solo work, speaks for itself. HOBI grew as an artist during his solo work. He pushed himself artistically, emotionally, and physically, and it paid off. I say he levelled up to Boss level. His rapping skills improved, because he experimented with different flows, and genre's of rap, and also his vocals. If you guys haven't heard MORE yet, please react to that one. It's a different but similar vibe. When I saw HOBI perform at the BUSAN concert, I saw a mix of JAY and HOBI. Which of course we have seen in the past, but I think he has embraced it now as part of himself. I'm glad he chose to explore his art, and I can't wait to see what he brings when they come back together in 2025. His documentary series will be released in March, as well as the OST, album volume 1 of HOPE ON THE STREET.
