I think people just need to let JID be a great rapper. He’s respected by his peers both underground and mainstream. Everyone wants him to have Kendrick sales numbers, Kendrick star power or for this album to be JID’s GKMC. I don’t think he’s gonna have those things because the music climate isn’t gonna push him there. It would be great but his music won’t create that pathway. But at the end of the day he’s a great artist and he put out a great album for everyone to enjoy!

We all know Beezy is a man of few words. He says enough to get across his critique and not much more (usually) I always love to see him give mad love to an album. He offers a unique perspective amongst the group (they each do), and Beezy really shines in reviews like these. The jersey # of his friend, the closing track that was cut, and production info as always ✊ Great review, guys. Been watching since back when y’all would be at Feefo’s crib in many reviews. I remember an episode of ITMSO years ago where y’all seemed to think less people will value your reviews over time. I think most here will agree with me that DEHH can’t be replaced, and will always be important voices in the hip-hop community. Personally, I’ve discovered SO many great artists/albums because of DEHH. You all have made me laugh on days I needed it most, and I never miss a video. I’ve also come to better understand the black experience here in DSA (Divided States of America) from listening to ITMSO I mean, just…thanks for all you’ve done over the past decade. Much love to my fellow fans for supporting Dead End Media. Y’all have expanded so much over these years while always keeping it real. No politics. No BS.

For me the one thing that kept me from cementing JID as being one of the best in his class is a great album. He can undoubtedly rap with the best of them, but can you put an amazing project together? I like The Never Story & Dicaprio 2, but they're nowhere near a Taboo, Care For Me, Cilvia Demo, Summertime 06 etc. which I consider to be some of the best rap albums to come out over the last decade from some of his contemporaries. With the Forever Story I feel like he's finally done that. This album is incredible, I've barely been able to check out anything else with how much I keep being drawn back to it. Front to back there's really only one song I don't have to hear (Can't Make You Change), but I don't think its a bad song. My only gripe is also wishing we got a Kenny Mason verse. Top 5 songs - Kody Blu 31, Sistanem, Crack Sandwhich, Surround Sound, Dance Now
