"Southern lyricists don't exist like that shit is a myth" is pretty ironic with Mike and all straight yelling at Feefo for hearing the south here. I hear it too. Don't always trust Feefo's taste, but trust his ear. Thanks a lot for this recommendation. Loved it.

I Feel feefo after that Lauder track, that and the fact that some of these tracks are 1-2 years old. I was expecting more newer material! Still solid!

He's the most different sounding artist in dreamville, not counting ari of course because she's a singer. Not saying they're bad but Everyone else is just too much like j cole but he was too dope, without a doubt my favorite dreamville

Watching this again, I totally agree with Feefo. He sounds like Wayne. Has the same cadence. Just because Wayne sounded overtly Southern doesn't mean JID has to sound overtly southern. Look at A$AP Rocky - he doesn't sound like he's really from H-town on any songs anymore, unless they sample or feature someone from there. I'm not tryna make the same cadence argument with Rocky, but do you get what I mean?

I've been on J.I.D. since he had 1k twitter followers...and he doesn't just have this album and a mixtape. When he was on Spillage Village, an independent collective in Atlanta, he was featured on 3 different collaborative projects with his fellow Spillage Village artists like EarthGang. Listen to Bears Like This, Bears Like This Too, and Bears Like This Too Much. And check his Dicaprio mixtape.

They're over there debating where he's from based on how he sounds like. I'm just sitting here happy because that's what hip hop is all about, if anything, that just shows you how versatile he is.
