J. Krishnamurti - Saanen 1979 - Public Talk 7 - In total silence the mind comes upon the eternal
Summary:
Why is there constant strife and seeking?
Are we seeking superficial sensory experience or something timeless, that thought has not touched at all?
Can thought with its limitation enquire deeply? Is observation the instrument of thought?
When one observes, does the thing being observed undergo change?
Can the mind, having understood desire, know its value is relative and be free to observe?
Is there a way of living without any control? Is not the controller the movement of thought?
When there is no conflict whatsoever, what takes place in the mind?
---
This channel is managed by the Krishnamurti Foundation Trust, UK, and by the Krishnamurti Foundation of America.
The role of the foundations was described by Krishnamurti when he said, 'The foundations will see to it that these teachings are kept whole, are not distorted, are not made corrupt. They will not give rise to any sectarian spirit in their activities... nor create any kind of place of worship around the teachings or the person.'
We maintain extensive archives of Krishnamurti's original works and all four Krishnamurti foundations are actively engaged in the publication of material in various forms.
Our videos contain thousands of subtitles in more than 25 languages, translated by volunteers from all over the world. If you would like to help us with translating subtitles, please contact us at digital@kfoundation.org

So profound yet so simple !! Just facts !! How could we human beings have been missing all that ! Through the whole time we were around . Going all over places, spending energy , time and money, wasting lives , seeking and struggling , just producing more and more conflicts, while truth is so close or is within each one of us ! True Observation and that terrible honesty as he puts it . His words and energy are precious . He has been and is and remains to be a treasure , and a great gift to humanity from universe …..

All that has been so judiciously observed reveals an amazing ability to really listen Needless to say I add out of bare temptation Evolution o man has come full circle :he need to do nothing: the senses have to be left alone But since the brain has been conditioned for millennia man has merely been received to follow the herd instinct and is lost Added to all this is the tragedy is the dreadful momentum born of false insecurity which causes the blind urge to labour furiously to come to grips with the illusiory sense of insecurity which has never existed As suffering goes on without end

@@joginderanand7618 Since that feeling of insecurity(vulnerability,victim feeling, arousing brutality and agility) is based on conclusions from past experiences, it could be said illusionary; but the reason why one acts from illusions and conclusions and definite pattern born of it, must be sought.

Silence is a friend.. in silence lies the truth .. our ears and eyes are the ones that establish attachments in our heart.. if we can neutralize these two senses our heart is free from attachments when there are no attachments there is no reason for the “Me” to exist.. when there is no “Me” mind gets to be quiet and silence becomes our greatest strength. Once such silence becomes comforting without effort our mind is free 😊

It’s crazy I used to think and question myself about these things but I thought I was kinda crazy cuz no one else did or said I was weird. K is helping you to see the tools for inner exploration are there all along we are just conditioned to think it isn’t. So then it seems that it isn’t. The brain is a trip! I’m learning about myself everyday, a beautiful process indeed 🤙🏽 I really don’t know anything 😯

A profound exploration of human beings perennial hunger, desire, longing, and search for something... What is it we are all deeply longing for...? Deeper... More... Timeless... Sacred... Original... Incorruptible... What? Why? Knowledge? Experience? Understanding? Enlightenment? Transformation? But how can we know when we have found what we are looking for? Pitfalls of illusion, errors, false prophets, etc. could deceive us... cause us to settle... prematurely arrest our striving and searching before we have found it arrived... at the Sacred... Timeless... State of Consciousness... What exactly is our destination? What authority can guide us? Yet, the dangers of authoritarianism can deceive, confuse, and detour our seeking, searching, striving... So, it comes down to what? Our own consciousness? Awareness? Beyond conceptual knowing and understanding... to what? "Nonconceptual Knowing?" " Nondual Thinking? " "Realizations?" "Experiencing the Ineffable?" These words are, as Lonegran stated, "pointers".. They can only "point" to the aspirations of our longings, searching, striving, etc. Where am I? Where are you? Somewhere on this journey in this life until? Death? After death? Eternity? I'll stop here...

Excellent point Kaya. Also what criteria would you apply to falsify the claim by Krishnamurti that he inhabits presence and stillness . Anyone can claim that their words emanate not from mind but a deeper consciousness. From popes to isis followers to archbishops to Tolle to what was once called the divine right of kings. . ??
@annelbeab8124
@annelbeab8124 Жыл бұрын
Just inquire yourself. He never said he "owned" anything or made it special. That's exactly the difference between what he said and what others claimed or tolerated that people followed their word. His words can make you inquire yourself and see what is true. That's all he was going on about. I would call it the evolutionary wall we can break through and 'free' the mind doing so again and again.
