This locomotive looks like something that would be created in Minecraft (Which is to say that I really enjoy it). Just a small, boxy workhouse powerful enough to perform any task needed without giving a single care as to what other locomotives think about it.

That is by far the weirdest steam locomotive I have seen since compressed air no 1 located at the age of steam roundhouse in sugarcreek, Ohio
@PennsyPro5 жыл бұрын
I took a tour of the roundhouse down there just hours after posting this video, and now that I've seen that locomotive in person, I think I can say the compressed air locomotive is much weirder than no. 58. In nearly every respect, the 58 is a regular steam locomotive; an 800-1200 psi compressed air locomotive is something you won't find anywhere else in the world.

Delay in block productions should do a documentary on this
@PennsyPro4 жыл бұрын
I'm sure Delay in Block already has their hands full with other projects, but we at Pennsy Productions are working on something like that for the future.

Is there any more stretch of track for the engine to run on to go any further? Because that short mile of track is all about running back and forth every 30 seconds of train ride.
@PennsyPro5 жыл бұрын
For now, this is it. Rick recently purchased more right-of-way to extend the ride several hundred more feet, which will make the current 5-minute ride three times longer.
@michaelnaisbitt16394 жыл бұрын
Pennsy Productions You stick with it mate we all appreciate that laying more track will take time. And money. But for every 5 minutes more of riding that odd loco is money in your bank and more tourist points. Who build the loco initially???🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺

I’ve been very interested in your channel since you did your top 10 retired steam excursion stars video. I live in Homestead which is a small town just an hour and a half from Miami. I’ve first heard about this locomotive when I saw a picture of it in a restorations list. Glad to see it finally restored after years of hard work. I’ve been wondering what are your Top 10 most anticipated steam locomotive restorations? My personal list includes the following #10. Reading 2100 and 2102. #9. C&O 1309. #8. Santa Fe 2926. #7. Alaska Railroad 557. #6. Union Pacific 3985. #5. Nickel Plate Road 587. #4. N.C.& St.L. 576. #3. PRR 1361. #2. C&O 2716. And #1. FEC 148.
So how long is this line and how long did it take them to rebuild that locomotive?
@PennsyPro4 жыл бұрын
In this video, the line was about 600 feet long, and is currently being extended into the woods several hundred more feet. Restoring the locomotive was a four-year-long effort, and a very thorough one too.

is that all the track it gets to run on?
@PennsyPro5 жыл бұрын
For now, yes. The museum currently only has about one acre of property, and they plan to extend the ride quite a bit in the future.
@Kamberry-15 жыл бұрын
interesting, I would’ve thought they had more track for to run on for the first run.
