Gottlob, nun geht das Jahr 2023 zu Ende. Der Meister Bach beherrscht wie immer, fast 300 Jahre später. Dankeschön und glückliche Jahre 2024 für alle !

Lets hope the year 2024 will be better. 2023 was really a lousy year with two wars in our neighbourhood and many attacks on democracy. Bach´s music is a comfort in these uncertain times.

Daniels sounds a bit tired, but he enunciates the text excellently, I've listened many other versions of the cantata and he was the only one that made me pay attention to the words with the repetitions in the recitativo.

I’ve come to understand what makes Bach-Stiftung performances so special! It’s the heartfelt connection of the musicians to the music - their deep love, understanding, and appreciation of Bach! There’s no pretension in these performances, just a sincere outpouring of feeling that has likely been gifted to Bach-Stiftung by Bach himself!
