Thank you so much. I’ve had my Ovation for years and haven’t used it yet. I bought it because it was on sale. It intimidates me.

You are a perfect educator !!! Your explanations are thorough without being too 'talky'. I also love that you're careful to show exactly what you're talking about. You stay still enough to allow us to see only what we need to see... no extra hand or fabric or tool movement and, I can't stand this, no extra talking other than just what you're trying to teach us !! Bravo and Thank YOU.

Thank you so much for this series. I’m currently still using my 37 year old serger, which I love. However, my mother died and left me her Babylock Ovation and now I can learn how to use it properly in the comfort of my own home and at my own pace.

Best class ever on the ovation for learning how each part works. I would have been lost when I first got my Ovation and still revisit these videos and learn each time I do. I find that some of the things that are seldom used or need to do I forget how to do it. In the case of tensions I have found on my particular machine I have to move the looper tension to the left just a tiny bit. Thank you Jennifer

You, my dear, deserved a standing 'ovation' for your thoughtful and very, very informative and useful videos on the Ovation serger. I have owned an Evole since they first came out..16 years ago?? Anyway, I never did get all the classes that were offered as the business left town and I had to travel a distance to continue. THIS KZbin Tutorial on the Ovation is SPECTACULAR!!! You are to be commended 10x over for you care and thoroughness in covering this machine. Can't thank you enough for this, truly! Can you tell me how many videos you actually have, so that I can look them up and don't miss any? Again, many, many thanks for your time.

Hi, absolutely love your video series on the Ovation. Can I ask, do you ever have problems with stripped screws that hold the needles in? Mine on O2 has just started to play up and I wondered if you could do a video about how to solve this please? Thank you
@JSternDesigns3 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! Are you saying that the little screw in the 02 position is stripped so it doesn't turn any more? If so, I think you'll need to take it in to a service person to remove the screw (if you can't get it out yourself)... and replace it with a new screw. To try to keep this from happening again, don't tighten down so hard... Also, sometime you may need loosen the screw next to the one you're trying to change needles. Let me know if this helps!

@zdravkavarina87344 жыл бұрын
Dear Lady J, I've just got a Babylock Ovation and I am delighted with it. I run into your video: great explanation, thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience. Let me ask you something. I was searching for a hint how to pick up a lost needle. I knew about the magnetic drawer but unfortunately the needle dropped when the blade protection cover was opened...so I couldn't find where the needle went. Do you have another hint ?? I didn't find how to open (in an obvious way) the bottom of the machine where the needle drawer is put.
@JSternDesigns2 жыл бұрын
I am so sorry I didn't see your comment until now. If the needle fell somewhere inside the machine *and you have enough muscles, you can pick it up with the doors open and turn it upside down... Sometime it will fall out. if it doesn't... Hand walk the needle up and down to make sure it's not anywhere that will interfere with the operation of the serger. I'm pretty sure I must have at least one needle some where at the base of my Ovation... So far they have been harmless.

Hello, I have had my ovation 8 years. It has been sitting unused for about 5 years. Is there basic cleaning you demonstrate all I need or do I need to bring it in to be serviced? Really hardly used but I am wanting to get into sewing, but don’t want to chance harming my machine. Thanks!!!
@JSternDesigns2 жыл бұрын
5 years is a long time to sit unused. To be safe, I would bring it to your Baby Lock Dealer and have the service department love it up for you. They will make sure it's clean and ready to go! Then keep me posted if you have specific questions, I love answering Subscriber Q & A. Thanks for watching

@JSternDesigns2 жыл бұрын
So sorry I missed your comment... It helps to put the knife down to make more room to thread the needles. I put the left needle thread into the thread guide first, then the right so they don't get tangled up. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!

what side do you put the thread in for the clips in the back. I was getting interference from other classes as you talked, My notes say c1 & 2 enter left C3 enter on right FACING THE MACHINE FRONT IS THIS CORRECT?
@JSternDesigns2 жыл бұрын
All of the guides are to the left of the final groove the thread needs to clip into for C1, C2 and C3 when you're looking at them from the front of the serger. I hope that helps!
