प्रथम शुद्र या शब्दाचा संस्कृत अर्थ छोटे किंवा दुय्यम असा होतो व्यवसायात छोटे काम करणारे शुद्र जातीत गेले आणि अस्पृश्य म्हणजे वालीत टाकणे असा होतो , संबंध न ठेवणे , अस्पृश्य हा कायदा मोडणार्यासाठि शिक्षा देण्याचा प्रकार होता पण त्याचा चुकिचा वापर होत गेला आणि चुकिचा अर्थ लावला गेला आणि एखाद्या समाजसाठि वापर केला गेला

संजय सर धन्यवाद! आपल्या पुष्ट्यर्थ पुढील विचार मांडत आहे. हिंदू 7,000 वर्षांपासून भारतीय उपखंडात स्थिरावले आहेत. अशा स्थायिक समाजात जाती व्यवस्था हळू आणि नैसर्गिकरित्या कशी विकसित झाली ती ते आपण पाहू. त्याकाळी आताच्या प्रमाणे व्यवसायाभिमुख शिक्षण संस्था नव्हत्या. त्यामुळे व्यावसायिक शिक्षण आपल्या वडिलांकडूनच मुलाला मिळायचे.त्याला दुसरा मार्ग नव्हता. आणि लग्न करताना आपला व्यवसाय असलेल्या घरातील मुलींना प्राधान्य देणे अपरिहार्य, स्वाभाविक नैसर्गिक होते. उदा.'शिंपी' मुलगा लग्नासाठी शिंपी (घरातील) मुलगीच पसंद करेल. कारण अशा मुलीला शिवण कामाचे बाळकडू बालपणापासूनच मिळालेले असणार. त्याचप्रमाणे लोहार, चांभार, सुतार, वाणी, सैनिक किंवा पुरोहित या सर्वांना स्वतःच्या व्यवसायातील मुलीशी लग्न करायला परिस्थिती भाग पाडीत असे. आणि अशा एकाच व्यवसायात काम करणाऱ्या गावोगावातील लोकांचा समूह तयार होऊन परिणामतः जातीचे घट्ट ऋणानुबंध निर्माण झाले. वरील विश्लेषण जाती व्यवस्था व्यवसाय केंद्रित आणि सर्वमान्य होती हे सिद्ध करण्यास पुरेसे आहे. आता कोणीही कोणत्याही प्रकारचे शिक्षण घेऊ शकतो. टेलरचा मुलगा डॉक्टर होऊ शकतो आणि त्यालाही शक्यतो डॉक्टर मुलीशीच लग्न करायला आवडते. सोय म्हणून! (इथे जात गेली तेल लावत!) सद्यस्थितीत जाती व्यवस्था कालबाह्य झाल्याचे लक्षात आल्यानंतर त्यातून बाहेर पडण्यासाठी प्रयत्न केले जात आहेत. जात जन्मावर आधारित असल्याने, याचा अंत होण्यास थोडा वेळ लागत आहे .. परंतु बर्‍याच समाजधुरीणांनी आणि अध्यात्मिक नेत्यांनी जातीव्यवस्था नाकारली आहे. सर्व लोकांनी हे चांगल्या प्रकारे समजून घेतले पाहिजे.

Nesfield and Risley came with the postulation story) that Caste was created by Aryans capturing the females of Aborigines (read Shudra and Dravid) and by making them wives and concubines. They started segregating and isolating the different Hindu communities in different groups to address current divide and rule problems and to create background for future conversions. They started Census of India in 1872. Census was government documentation, so it was a legalised tool too. They did census on basis of Varna in 1872 and 1881. Census of 1891 was done on the basis of profession. In 1901, Lord HH Risley used various methods including anthrometry for census and identified 2378 castes and 42 races in Hindu community. He used name of Manusmriti that it mentions four Castes (not Varnas) and then went on applying his own module to divide Hindu society in 13 broad groups. Initial six groups were called Aryans or Savarnas (1- Bramhans 2- Allied Castes to Bramhans 3- kshatriyas 4- Allied Caste to Kshatriya’s 5- Vaishya 6- Allied castes to Vaishya). There were designated as upper castes by Risley and his successor Census commissioners; rest were designated as lower castes by him and others. This Caste based census was continued in 1911, 1921,1931. It was discarded in 1941. They targeted different Hindu communities and made laws to identify them separately from the others. This total exercise was done to create solid legal background for conversion of Hindus into Christian fold. They used a word Depressed Class in 1917 in disguise of educating the children of unemployed and deindustrialized Hindus, which became part of 1921 Census. But its definition was not given as to which group and communities will come under depressed class. In 1928, Simon gave the task of defining this depressed class to Dr Ambedkar, who identified them as Untouchables and submitted his report to Lothian committee in 1932. Most of us are aware of Britons’ exercise of nominating Dr Ambedkar as representative of these newly created untouchables and giving them political bribe of separate electorate, followed by Gandhi’s fast strike and Poona pact. In 1935, Government Act of India was created by British Parliament, which in 1936 created a list of 429 castes as Scheduled Castes. It became part of Indian Constitution in 1950.

आपल्या वर्गाचे व्यावसायिक तंत्र इतरा पासून राखून ठेवण्याच्या परंपरा यामुळे श्रेणिक संस्था होत्या याचेच पुढे जातीव्यवस्था निर्माण झाली. भंगी ही जमात तर अगदी अलीकडे मुस्लिम शासकांनी निर्माण केली आहे.अनेकांना माहीत नाही. शेती मात्र सगळाच समाज करत असे म्हणून शेतकरी ही जात झाली नाही, मात्र चांडाळ म्हणजे स्मशानभुमी चा व्यवस्थापक. यातून ही जात निर्माण झाली. अशा प्रकारे जाती या व्यवसायातून निर्माण झाल्यात. यजुर्वेद ग्रंथात अनेक व्यवसायाची वर्णने आहेत. पण जातींची माहिती नाही. अर्थात जाती धर्माची निर्मिती नाही.

Jaati is not caste. It is highly misunderstood and confused. In India, Jaati was a workmen grouping. It existed in western world also. A "Smith" is a family name of Englad and is named so, because entire family was involved in smithy (iron work). Caste/Varna etc are different. It is true that, Jaati became hereditary (like in West), as entire family got involved for efficiency and early training purposes. Jaati is a social unit. It is empowered economically for sustainable growth of society. In modern british defined system, one individual is a social unit and he is exploited, as he has the least strength against powerful exploitative industrial system. In Modern British floated system, 5% rich are controling 95% of wealth and people. In Jaati system 40% was controling rest of 60%. That is far better, as old, sick, children, unemployed will be controled by their providers in any system. Jaati was not exploitative but was providing holistic care and welfare. A LLb trained lawyer can't be a doctor in modern system also. So modern system is not anything different or better. But it has destroyed economic foundation of the social grouping called Jaati. It made wealth to flow to few individuals pockets. Jaatis were self sufficient. They only expected protection from foreign attacks and an economic policy to protect & flourish their trade. Very less burden/expectation on govt. Society was more stable. No misuse. No overuse, as social communities always cared for future generations. It was not suitable for Britishers. So they propagated nastiest theories linking Jaati with Western racism. They destroyed jaati and destroyed Indian industrial base. They converted India into a market for British goods and looted heavily. Tata/Ambani/Birlas are still running family business/profession. What is the problem if a group of families run bussinesses together as one jaati? Just think. Powerfulls are accumulating wealth as politicians, landlords, industrialists etc. But a worker like a doctor/clerk/auditor/accountant can't accumulate his wealth like brand/ customers/market or can't transfer experience / train his own family. It was a ploy to weaken workers. Unity is strength. If people are organised as jaatis, it was difficult to exploit. Today indian society is broken, because even now only land owners can be farmers. Farming is the biggest employer. Only Rich can be industrialists. Ordinary People can't invest on themselves or thier next generation. Becauae of this, people feel highly insecure. workers are made to be weak and denied capacity to organise properly. Worker unions are left dominated and are again highly corrupt, as their only objective is to fight industrialists. Opportunity to invest and prosper is restricted to common people. Commoners are forced to keep money in bank (which is loaned to rich to become more rich) or give it to rich industrialists only in stock market. If they had opportunity to transfer their experience, customers, trade etc, they will invest on themselves and prosper. Jaati system is optimised automatically and being welfare driven, distributes wealth effectively. India was optimal and highly competitive in world. Jaati do what is best for people and what is most optimal. That is what is required for nations development. Indian masses, like, enjoy and flourish in Jaati settings. It is cultural and traditional bonding more than just family inheritance. So it has natural reasonance. Political class also wants it. India definitely need to kill caste system and revive Jaati system. Let govt delink Jaati from birth if it is so concerned. What is required is to recasts jaati as a workman grouping and allow them to better organise. Mainly jaatis should able to accumulate wealth over generations. Instead of cajoling Westerners for investment, Govt should revive Jaati. Allow Jaati (workmen grouping) to declare one or two profession of their interest. Under jaati umbrella (like Western professional bodies) allow them to organise and invest. Allow them to operate in the opportunities with some protection/support. They make miracles for India. Double digit growth comes automatically. If Jaati is empowered they invest for thier own trade and also for human capital. Jaati workmanship provides better skill training, investment, security and more than anything satisfaction for masses. They protect, enrich and sustain culture & tradition too. That makes India prosper. Being a building block of social, cultural and economic sphere, it becomes the prime vehicle of sustined development.

How did they target them sequentially? First target was Banwasis, who were isolately recognized as Animist in Census, later on incorporated in Constitution as Scheduled Tribes. Huge success in converting them! Second Target was different artisan, manufacturing and farming communities, who were displaced from their traditional profession. Recognized in British Census as Shudras/ Aborigines/ untouchables / Dravida; later on incorporated in Constitution as Scheduled Caste. But in sociology they are still recognized as Moolniwasi, a translation of Aborigines or Adivasi (again translation of Aborigines). They were incorporated in Constitution as Scheduled Castes. They became successful in hunting isolately different small fragments of this larger community, and ultimately converting them to Christianity. Dr. Udit Raj, Member of Parliament is best example of this second category. All the people of Kori or Koli community are second best example of second category, as the records say that they were Respectable Bais Rajpoot, whose whole family including females were used to weave the cloths, which had attracted ruffians and Pirates to come to the India. Third category OBCs are extension of second one, who were again isolated for hunting and converting in 1989. They are now on target of foreign funded Christian missionaries, since then. The separate communities who prefer to serve in the army from Non OBC community are targeted to go for violent movement, so that army can be weakened. You have seen Patidar community ,Jat community’s violent movement to get enrolled in OBC. Karani community, Maratha Community, and certain Rajpoot communities are their next target. Indian Perspective of Caste: Caste neither denotes Varna nor Jati/Jat. Indian human resource were categorized in four classes which was known as Varna- Bramhan (Medha shakti - Intellectual force) Kshatriya (Raksha Shakti - Defence Force), Vaishya (Vanijya - Trade) and Shudra (Service sector and manufacturing force also known as Shilpi). Varna also denotes color but irony is that it has no relation with Savarn or Asavarna. Sawarna means within the same class, Asavarna means out of the class. Whereas Jati or jat simply means extended family tree since more than ten thousand years. According to Amarskosh, Jat means - normal birth. It can be classified in upper or lower caste/jati according to this simple understanding of Jati/Jat. There are more than hundreds of jatis or castes within each varna according to Indian understanding of Hindu society. But today Bramhan Kshatriya and Vaishya are three upper caste, and Shudra have been classified in more than six thousand castes after interference and interpretation of British colonizers.
