Day 20of asking for my Theory: Mirabels gift is breaking things. Luisas gift stopped working RIGHT AFTER Mirabel talked to her. She broke isabellas unhappy engagement, and actually WAS the one who broke the house, and the miracle. But it NEEDED to be broken so that the family could come back together. Also, immediately when she got her gift she broke her door as her power manifested.

My abusive father has been dead for 7 years and I've yet to cry for him. The first Christmas/Father's Day without him I was relieved I wasn't being/feeling forced to buy something for somebody like that. So I'm feeling the Carlin family is actually loving.

Why do the seem to stuggle with Bathilda Bagshot attending Harry's Birthday tea? Did they forget how the Fidelius Charm works? There is a secret keeper for a reason, only they can let people know the secret. They obviously let people in on the secret, they had visitors, Dumbledore for example and Sirius could have gone but didn't. Bathilda was obiviously told, its not like she could have spilled the beans on where they were.

Plus the reason Sirius didn’t go is because he was busy with the Order, not because he couldn’t because of the charm. It said it in Lilly’s letter that they understood because the Order had to come first.

I always just assumed Peter told Bathilda the secret, because she was also friendly with Dumbledore and could be trusted. Besides, she wouldn’t be able to tell anyone, unless Peter died.

Crookshanks was part kneazle, so he found out scabbers wasn't a regular rat and that padfoot/snuffles wasn't a dog and probably learnt that scabbers was bad when snuffles communucated with him

I just love your quizzes. Did anyone else notice the menacing way that Peter looks first at James and then at Lily in that picture?? It gives me the creeps every time I see it. There is definitely, some foreshadowing going on there. Also, the way Dumbledore is looking at Peter. So many interesting things happening in that picture. Here's a question for you - When Peter turns into a rat his clothes are left behind, however earlier when he changed from a rat into a person again, he had on clothes. What gives??? I find it so cool how many times the two of you write down the same answer even when it's wrong.

You keep thinking that Crookshanks was Harry's cat, but personally I think the Potter's cat died the night Voldemort tried to kill Harry. James died first, then Lily, and at the last minute, Potter's Cat (or PC) jumped up and intercepted the Killing Curse. PC's sacrifice was the true love that protected Harry all those years. Crookshanks could just tell the magical aurua left by PC and that's why they were friends

Random deer fact - here in the UK we rarely (if ever) use stag and doe to describe the two sexes of deer in the same species. Stag and hind and usually used together (for the larger species of deer here in the UK such as red deer and Sika) and buck and doe are used together (for the smaller fallow, roe etc.) So calling James and Lilly's patronuses stag and doe means they don't actually fit together as well as was likely intended as the deer should actually be different species if the terminology is used correctly. Although more than likely a mistake by JK.

Regarding Bathilda coming to Harry's birthday tea and not Sirius, I believe the problem was that the Order knew someone close to the Potters was feeding Voldemort info. We don't know how close Bathilda was to the Potters before they went into hiding. If she became close to them during the Potters's hiding, then she could have been given "access" to them, and with Sirius being James's best friend, he wouldn't have been allowed.

The only thing that can make sense about the birthday tea thing with Bathilda is that they were tracking the Potters’ closest friends and Sirius was also being hunted. Bathilda was just some old lady who lived in Godric’s Hollow but who knew the Potters. Since they hadn’t seen anyone in a couple months they probably had her come over, but since she’s not being tailed or anything she just walked over no problem. But Sirius, Dumbledore, Remus, etc would’ve never been able to do it because they were in the Order and couldn’t risk exposing the Potters’ locations. Bathilda is not anyone who the death eaters would’ve tracked.
